At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

Man With Half A Body Defies The Odds By 'Fathering A Child'

Daily Mail (UK)

Video AND TEXT. Despite only having half a body, Kenny Easterday insists he can live the life of a normal man. Now he appears to have proved it after claiming he has fathered a child. When he was just six months old, doctors amputated Kenny's legs and used part of his shinbone to complete his partially-formed spine. Kenny is so small he can fit inside a suitcase but that hasn't stopped him playing pool, bowling, working, or having a love life with fianceé Nicky. In an American television documentary, he and Nicky revealed that they were together seven years ago, after which she became pregnant with her daughter, Desiree. ...

YEST Can Animals Sense Earthquakes Before They Strike?

Colleen Brondou -- Dulcinea Media

A new study suggests toads can detect impending earthquakes, calling to mind other examples of animals sensing disasters before they hit. In April 2009, British researchers were studying the common toad at a breeding site in central Italy when they "observed a mass exodus of toads." Just five days later, a 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit, killing some 150 people and causing extensive damage to the town of L'Aquila. ...

YEST Industry Groups Question Regulations In Cybersecurity Bill

Grant Gross -- IDG News Service

A U.S. Senate committee has dropped some of the most controversial pieces of a wide-ranging cybersecurity bill that had been stalled for nearly a year, but some tech industry groups still have concerns about new regulations that the legislation would create for some companies. The bill has been through several drafts, and the language allowing the president to shut down parts of the Internet is no longer in it. However, the new version of the bill would still create new regulations for some systems connected to the Internet designed as "critical infrastructure systems," representatives of Business Software Alliance (BSA) and the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) said. The bill "creates an environment that's focused on compliance rather than innovation," said Franck Journoud, BSA's director of global cybersecurity policy. "It creates a one-size-fits-all approach to cybersecurity." ...

YEST Invisibility Cloak That Generates Substitute Illusions Gets Closer To Realization

Lisa Zyga -- PhysOrg

In a twist on the concept of an invisibility cloak, researchers have designed a material that not only makes an object invisible, but also generates one or more virtual images in its place. Because it doesn't simply display the background environment to a viewer, this kind of optical device could have applications that go beyond a normal invisibility cloak. Plus, unlike previously proposed illusion devices, the design proposed here could be realized with artificial metamaterials. ...

International Probe Targets Secretive Catholic Group

Dana Kennedy -- New York Times

"Dan Brown got the wrong group," said Genevieve Kineke, an orthodox Catholic who was a member of Regnum Christi, the legion's lay movement, from 1992 to 2000 and writes a blog about her experiences. "The Legion of Christ is the scary cult embedded in the bosom of the mother church. Not Opus Dei." Two of the most visible priests in America are Father Thomas Williams, a movie-star-handsome CBS News analyst, and Father Jonathan Morris, who is sometimes referred to as "Father Knows Best" on the Fox News Channel. They belong to the Legion of Christ but rarely identify themselves as such on camera. A book, "Vows of Silence: The Abuse of Power in the Papacy of John Paul II," written by Berry and Hartford Courant reporter Gerald Renner, was published in 2004 with what one reviewer called "horror stories ... of brainwashing, manipulation, pederast seduction rituals, character assassination, bribes, drug abuse, gulag-type threats -- you name it."

World Tribune

The New York Times is quoting a spokesman for George Soros as saying that the well-known hedge fund operator is guilty of no wrong-doing in connection with the financial upheaval currently affecting Greece and Europe as a whole. But Zubi Diamond, author of the powerful new book, Wizards of Wall Street: & Washington Lap Dogs; The Scam That Elected Barack Obama: The Economic Crisis, says the agenda of Soros and other short sellers is clear. March Report Podcast

News and Opinion Presented by Robert Jay March

21:39. Recorded
Monday, January 11, 2010
TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Glenn Beck:
The Verdict Is In

On the January 4, 2010 edition of Glenn Beck's Radio Program, Beck mocked the so-called "birthers": those of us who believe, and have submitted extensive evidence to prove, that Barack Obama is not legally qualified to serve as President of The United States, per Article II Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution: "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President." March discusses Beck's remarks, why he made them, and what Beck's afraid of. During his last podcast, Robert Jay March asked, "Is Glenn Beck a Hero or a Coward?" The verdict is now in.

Britt Hume's Remarks on Tiger Woods and Buddhism.

On the January 3, 2010 edition of Fox News Sunday, Hume said this: "the extent to which [Tiger] can recover seems to me depends on his faith. He's said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith." Robert Jay March, a practicing Buddhist for 38 years, and a devout Catholic before that, corrects Hume's misunderstanding of the Buddhist faith, explaining how that "kind of forgiveness and redemption" is implicit in the Buddhism, and the personal tragedy in Hume's life that account for his statement.

Rocked High Rises From San Diego To Los Angeles

KTLA-TV

"This is the largest earthquake since the [7.3 magnitude] Landers earthquake of 1992," Dr. Lucy Jones of Caltech said, "A 7.2 is going to happen over a pretty long fault, probably close to 50 miles long." Seismologists are working to determine which of a series of faults the quake occurred on. The temblor's force caused high-rise buildings in San Diego to sway back and forth around 30 seconds before rocking high-rise buildings in downtown Los Angeles. Caltech officials report that over 20 million people felt shaking related to the 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Strong shaking was reportedly felt as far away as Las Vegas, Nevada and Yuma, Arizona. ...

Mira Oberman -- Agence France-Presse (FR)

"We now face the largest institutional crisis in centuries, possibly in church history," the US-based National Catholic Reporter wrote in an editorial demanding "direct answers" from the Holy Father.  Easter Support For Pope, And Some Apologies

Daniel J. Wakin -- New York Times

In the culture of the church hierarchy, the mere idea of a pope -- the vicar of Jesus Christ on earth, the successor of the prince of the apostles, the supreme pontiff of the universal church and sovereign of the Vatican city state, as his official titles have it -- being called to account like the secular head of a corporation is incomprehensible. "Since the pope is the visible head of the church on earth, an attack on the pope is perceived as an attack on the church universal," said the Rev. James Martin, a Jesuit and the culture editor of America, a Catholic weekly magazine. "For curia officials, it literally hits home. It's one thing to deal with a sexual abuse scandal in another country. It's another thing to deal with accusations against your boss, with whom you work with every day." ...

Dareh Gregorian -- New York Post

Subway stabber Brenddy Garcia sobbed uncontrollably as he was arraigned today on two counts of murder in Manhattan Supreme Court, where lawyers painted starkly different pictures of why the 19-year-old went on a bloody rampage with a folding knife. Prosecutor John Veiga said Garcia taunted the two victims, Darnell Morrel and Ricardo Williams, "from the platform as the train left the station and the two young men bled to death." Prosecutors went on to say that Garcia "reacted to a perceived act of disrespect in a grossly disproportionate manner." ...

Belgium Moves Closer To Europe's First Burqa Ban

Leo Cendrowicz -- Time Magazine

The draft law would make it illegal to wear clothing that covers all or part of the face, which would also include the facial veil known as the niqab. Defying the rule could lead to nominal fines of $20 to $35 or possible imprisonment for up to seven days. Proponents say they're targeting the burqa not because of its religious symbolism or even because it is widely seen in the West as a sign of male oppression, but rather for safety reasons: they say that people who hide their faces represent a security risk. In that light, the law also seeks to target potentially violent demonstrators who cover their faces, backers say. ...

 Orwellian Times In Belgium

Phyllis Chesler -- NewsReal Blog

At the University of Antwerp, the poet and critic of Islam, Benno Barnard, tried to deliver a lecture with the provocative title "The Islam Debate. Long Live God, Down with Allah." Forty Muslim protesters allowed Barnard two minutes before they began yelling "Allahu Akbar" and stormed the podium -- which effectively ended the lecture. Barnard said: "Isn't it appalling that an intellectual wants to give a lecture in the year 2010, and needs police protection? Actually, this is my best lecture ever. This incident shows what I've been trying to make clear for years: that the Islam is a completely intolerant system." The rioters were not arrested. Someone-Barnard? The University? The city of Antwerp? had to pay for Barnard's bodyguards so that he would not be killed as he tried to exercise his right to express his views. ...

Israel Pressures China To Back Tehran Sanctions

Uzi Mahnaimi -- London Times (UK)

Israel will send its most senior military strategist to China this week to convince Beijing that it is serious about plans to bomb nuclear facilities in Iran if international sanctions fail to curb Tehran's development of atomic weapons. The visit, part of an intense round of diplomacy between China and Israel, follows signs that Beijing will shortly back tougher economic sanctions against Iran at the United Nations security council. China, which has the power of veto, has previously resisted such a move. ...

 At Least 41 Killed

Alice Fordham -- London Times (UK)

The dead included an Iraqi guard at the German embassy and the head of security at the Egyptian mission, where guards shot at the bomber in a failed attempt to stop his truck. More than 200 people were wounded in the bombings. At the same time there were a number of other attempted attacks, according to the Iraqi authorities. Police intercepted a car laden with explosives which may have been targeting an organisation protecting embassies. There were also improvised explosive devices targeting police patrols. American and Iraqi authorities have emphasised that the security situation has been improving, but similar "spectacular" attacks continue. Yesterday's bombings were similar to co-ordinated attacks on Baghdad in August, October and December, when ministries and administrative buildings were struck, causing hundreds of deaths. ...

Supporters Say Terreblanche Murder "Attack On Democracy"

Right Perspective

South African political parties from both sides of the aisle have condemned last night's savage murder of AWB leader Eugene Terreblanche, calling it "an attack on South African democracy." "An attack of this nature can be regarded as an attack on the diverse components of the South African democracy," MP Juanita Terreblanche (no relation) from the liberal Democratic Alliance said. "The DA calls for people to remain calm and on the ANC to strongly condemn racist utterances which has become synonymous with Malema and his ilk." South African president and ANC leader Jacob Zuma also condemned the murder and called for calm. "The President appeals for calm following this terrible deed and asks South Africans not to allow agent provocateurs to take advantage of this situation by inciting or fueling racial hatred," his office said in a statement. ...

The Fall Of Eugene Terre Blanche And The Rise Of Julius Malema

Ray Hartley -- Times (SA)

Those who would like to polarise South Africa are rubbing their hands with glee at the murder of Eugene Terre Blanche with sickening excitement. Murdered by two farmworkers after a dispute over R600 in wages, Terre Blanche has been saved from a legacy as a racist thug who beat a petrol attendant so badly he lost his mental faculties. He is now a national symbol for those who believe that farm murders are political acts aimed at driving whites from the land. On paper, the ANC has recently been at pains to reassure farmers that it has no intention of nationalising the land as was suggested in an official discussion document. But in Zimbabwe, its Youth League president, Julius Malema has just been given a rousing heroes welcome by Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF. The "Kill the Boer" song was sung in his honor. Malema said: "In South Africa, we are just starting. Here in Zimbabwe you are already very far. The land question has been addressed. We are very happy that today you can account for more than 300,000 new farmers against the 4,000 who used to dominate agriculture. We hear you are now going straight to the mines. That's what we are going to be doing in South Africa." ...

Victor L. Simpson -- Associated Press

The Rev. The "coincidence" that Passover falls in the same week as Easter celebrations, said Rev. Cantalamessa, a Franciscan who offers reflections at Vatican Easter and Advent services, prompted him to think about Jews. Quoting from the letter from the friend, who wasn't identified by Rev. Cantalamessa, the preacher said that he was following "'with indignation the violent and concentric attacks against the church, the pope and all the faithful of the whole world."' ...

YEST John Forsythe Dies At 92

Duane Byrge -- Hollywood Reporter

John Forsythe

John Forsythe, who starred as the urbane Blake Carrington on the 1980s primetime soap "Dynasty" and provided the unseen voice of Charlie on "Charlie's Angels," died Thursday in Santa Ynez, Calif., of complications from pneumonia after a yearlong struggle with cancer. With his smooth manner and silver mane, Forsythe exuded paternal power and iron-fisted control on ABC's "Dynasty" as a ruthless Denver oil magnate who dealt not only with the high-stakes vagaries of the oil business but with the even more volatile eruptions of his competitive womenfolk. For his portrayal of Carrington, Forsythe earned two Golden Globes and three Emmy nominations. Earlier in his career, Forsythe brought his debonair, fatherly manner to the role of a playboy Hollywood lawyer in the 1957-62 sitcom "Bachelor Father," which ran on CBS, NBC and ABC.  Review: Doctor Who -- The Eleventh Hour

Alan Stanley Blair -- Airlock Alpha

"The Eleventh Hour" comes with a hard job; this is the first episode since the 2005 premiere that has simultaneously had to introduce both the Doctor and his companion. And, if you can recall that far back, "Rose" was a very uneven adventure indeed. Despite its wrinkles (and believe me, there are quite a few), "The Eleventh Hour" remains an episode loyal to the heart of the characters rather than to telling a blockbuster story or setting up a grand arc. The biggest fear of fans of the renewed franchise is that Matt Smith will sink the ship. He's new, relatively unknown and is taking over the role previously coveted by one of Britain's finest actors. Imagine the surprise when it turns out Matt Smith is perfectly fitted for the role and is not too dissimilar from Tennant when he took over from Christopher Eccleston. Instantly likeable and entirely believable, Smith is a natural for the Doctor and he does his predecessors justice. ...

YEST Interview: Chronicles Of Narnia's Tilda Swinton

James Mottram -- Independent (UK)

You don't interview Swinton so much as engage with her -- particularly when it comes to cinema. As passionate about Avatar as she is about the work of Robert Bresson, Swinton's here today to talk up I Am Love, a project she's been developing for 11 years with its director, Italian-born Luca Guadagnino. Gloriously operatic in its intensity, it's an intelligent, searing study of infidelity, betrayal and love in the closed circles of upper-crust Milanese society. She plays Emma, a Russian émigré married into a wealthy Italian clan who begins a life-shattering affair with a friend of one of her grown-up sons. Swinton performs in Italian, filtered through a credible Russian accent, and her character is, according to the actress, a "cipher". "She's someone who has lived undercover for 25 years, not even with her own name, with nothing from her own life. So she brings nothing. She's completely empty and she's completely disguised; and to be disguised that long is an interesting psychopathy, I think." ...

Officially, the U.S. Army says it has no plans for formal action at this point against the officer. But the controversy also raises the prospect that the government may be unwilling to pursue a prosecution because of the possible ramifications: including a defense demand for a court-ordered discovery process that would target Obama's historical documentation. Alan Keyes Argues That California Had A Duty To Examine Obama Eligibility

Bob Unruh -- World Net Daily

A brief submitted by Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation on behalf of Ambassador Alan Keyes and others to an appeals court in California explains that elections officials in California had a duty to examine Barack Obama's eligibility to the office of president during the 2008 election. He has argued that a judge's earlier dismissal of the case ignored significant precedents, that state officials previously removed from the ballot a nominee for president simply because he did not meet constitutional eligibility requirements and in another situation, a court actually removed a government's chief elected executive from office for not being eligible. ...

An Inconvenient Lie

James Lovelock, Who Developed The Gaia Theory, Says "Democracy Must Be Put On Hold" To Prevent Climate Change

Leo Hickman -- Guardian (UK)

Humans are too stupid to prevent climate change from radically impacting on our lives over the coming decades. This is the stark conclusion of James Lovelock, the globally respected environmental thinker and independent scientist who developed the Gaia theory. "I don't think we're yet evolved to the point where we're clever enough to handle a complex a situation as climate change," said Lovelock in his first in-depth interview since the theft of the UEA emails last November. "The inertia of humans is so huge that you can't really do anything meaningful." One of the main obstructions to meaningful action is "modern democracy", he added. "Even the best democracies agree that when a major war approaches, democracy must be put on hold for the time being. I have a feeling that climate change may be an issue as severe as a war. It may be necessary to put democracy on hold for a while." ...

Several universities involved have already launched reviews. And even previous IPCC chief Professor Robert Watson, for example, is calling for a probe to investigate "warming bias" by the UN panel. "The mistakes all appear to have gone in the direction of making it seem like climate change is more serious by overstating the impact. That is worrying," he told the U.K. Times Online. "The IPCC needs to look at this trend in the errors and ask why it happened." The UN will indeed launch an "independent" inquiry, but critics generally expect a coverup. U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.) went further, proposing criminal investigations to determine if alarmists violated any laws. A Senate report produced for Inhofe's Environment and Public Works Committee concluded that, among other problems, "scientists involved in the CRU controversy violated fundamental ethical principles governing taxpayer-funded research and, in some cases, may have violated federal laws." Similarly, British authorities were investigating possible criminal activity by Climategate scientists who refused to provide documents and data under lawful Freedom of Information requests. The scientists may reportedly escape prosecution under the FOI law because of a six-month statute of limitations. ...

The Subtle Racism of the Left.

by Robert Jay March

Yesterday, a MarchReport.com reader from Lyndhurst, New Jersey sent me a copy of a letter from an Emergency Room Doctor that someone had found on the internet and passed along to him. I thought it was well worth reading, and wrote back, asking for the original source of the letter, so that MarchReport.com could link to it. As it turns out, he did not know the source, and, my curiosity piqued, that sent me on a Google-quest to find it. The original posting is six months old, and MarchReport.com being a current news site, I normally would not have linked to it now; however, Google being Google, the search returned 20,300 results [with the usual Google-caveat on the last page (p. 76): "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 757 already displayed."]

As I began to read through the resulting links, it became apparent that this could be used as an object lesson for those who have been on the receiving-end of abuse from those who think that anyone to the right of Chairman Mao or Ernesto "Che" Guevara must be a racist, must live in fear of "the other," and must be re-educated, ideally with a blunt instrument.

The article was posted on Snopes, a project of The Annenberg Public Policy Center, the very bastion of re-education and guardian of the public's zeitgeist.

The post was entitled "Why Pay for the Care of the Careless?" and consisted of a Letter to the Editor of the Gannett-owned Jackson, Mississippi Clarion Ledger, written by Starner Jones, M.D., and published in the August 23, 2009 issue. It reads as follows:

"Dear Sirs:
"During my last night's shift in the E.R., I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate tattoos, a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ringtone. Glancing over the chart, one could not help noticing her payer status: Medicaid. She smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and, somehow, still has money to buy beer.

"And our Congress expects me to pay for this woman's health care? Our nation's health care crisis is not a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. It is a crisis of culture -- a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. A culture that thinks "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me." Life is really not that hard. Most of us reap what we sow.

"Don't you agree?"

The good doctor's simple statement of his philosophy, published in a small paper with a daily circulation of only 70,000 (MarchReport.com's Daily Alert Newsletter has a circulation of nearly quadruple that) despite having won a Pulitzer in 1983, would have been forgotten in a day or two and had the ignominious fate of most such Letters to the Editor dropped on them (the bird-cage prize) were it not for the ever-vigilant eyes of Those Who Must Be Obeyed: The Looney Left (apologies to John Mortimer, QC and his creation, Horace Rumpole).

In the September 6, 2009 issue of the Clarion Ledger, one Jennifer Sigrest of the aptly-named Clinton, Mississippi wrote a response to Dr. Jones' letter, wherein she said, "This kind of personal attack is nothing new with the hateful rhetoric of late. But it's a real slippery slope when one questions whether another human merits support for health care because of appearances and choices. There are a lot of folks in this state who make less-than-perfect choices about finances and health. We are the poorest, fattest state, after all." (Read her entire letter at Snopes, and you'll understand why I feel Clinton is aptly-named.)

O.K., fine: she disagrees with Dr. Jones' simple philosophy, and felt strongly enough to write a rebuttal. MarchReport.com agrees with the good doctor and disagrees with her, but freedom of speech, as guaranteed by the First Amendment, is an absolute guarantee: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." It is that very guarantee that, apparently, sent the left lunging for their Absolut.

Vitals.com is a web-site that posts reviews of Doctors. They describe themselves as "Your source for comprehensive medical information on 720,000 doctors nationwide." Have a look at their review page of Dr. Jones. The reviews of him as a Doctor are very positive. A week ago, a "critique" was posted about him (not about his skills as a physician; it's about his Letter to the Editor) by a "reviewer" who signed himself as William Utter. We reproduce it here, misspellings, bad grammar, and all: "YOUR WRONG. It's ppl like you are the reasion we don't have health for everyone in this country. If ppl like you would stop having babies this country would be better off!"

Another "reviewer" who signed his post with the non-de-plume "health care for all" and entitled his post "Sad Selfish Bigot" said this: "All this doctor can see is the color of his patient and the amount of reimbursement he is going to receive. Would he be as troubled by the gold tooth and tattoo if they were on an 80 year old white patient? I think not."

These, on a site for medical reviews: it is not a place for political discussions -- for any "reasion."

Wading more deeply into my Google-results, I found this on, of all places, a Real Estate Blog called ActiveRain: it's a post entitled "Dr. Starner Jones, MD -- Racist of the Week." The author of the post starts by saying, "Now some of you will immediately see that this guy has a real hatred for black people and get angry. Others -- and I can almost predict who the "others" will be -- will think this doctor really has it going on. A real genius."

Say what? Exactly where in Dr. Jones letter is it stated, or even implied, that the patient was Black? NO WHERE! I remember a book store cashier who fit the description of Dr. Jones' patient to a "Tee," and he was White. When I lived in New York City, prior to my disability, I saw people that fit this description on the subway every day -- of all races.

Lefty (who signed her post "The Arizona Home Loan Lady," but that's a bit of a mouthful) continued: "He makes it very clear that he is talking about a black person in the first paragraph. And just to make sure we get the point, he even throws in "R&B" music, just to hammer it home. He could have left out the gold tooth thing. But he paints us a real nice picture, doesn't he? I'm sure all of his black patients are like this. Every single one of them has gold teeth and an R&B ringtone...I'm sure." She goes on to say, "And he is sarcastic about doing his job for a black person, when he writes "I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a gold tooth ..."

My father had two gold teeth, and he was a mix of Polish, Ukranian, and Mongolian -- and had curly blond hair to boot. "R&B music"? One of my favorite tunes is "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted," which was recorded by Jimmy Ruffin when The Spinners passed on it. I have it on vinyl, cd, and as an mp3 downloaded from Amazon.com. It's a Soul-music classic, and I rarely go through a week without listening to it, and I, too, am the aforementioned mix of Polish, Ukranian, and Mongolian. My mother was descended from Polish royalty, and my father from peasantry; in fact, going back many, many generations, my ancestors on my father's side were the gamekeepers to my ancestors on my mother's side. I must take after my father's side of the family, because here I am cleaning up another creature's poop again.

Who are the real racists here? The white Medical Doctor who made a simple comment about the apparent misuse of the funds exhibited by his patient, or the overcompensating leftists, who see racism where there is none, and try to force the rest of us (not them -- never them) to bend over backwards to remedy it; the leftists who want to ban Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn because those books, which accurately reflected their times, and were written by Mark Twain to show just how truly revolting was the bigotry of his time, were supposedly Inappropriate, Unacceptable, and Racist? The 12-year-old called racist for wearing Palin t-shirt, or those who made the accusation?

Just as I had finished writing the previous paragraph, and was about to start looking for an old Readers Digest article from the 1930s, wherein I remember the author, a classic liberal if his day, was writing on what was then called "home relief," who was interrupted by a black (no ... he said "colored," if I recall correctly) janitor, who had come in to clean his office. I was looking for it because I recalled recoiling at the remark he made in the article about those who were and were not fit for certain jobs, made the classic 1930s-liberal quip that "it was good they found some kind of work for him." Today, he'd be drawn-and-quartered in the court of public opinion for that remark, but back then, it was what passed for enlightened, progressive liberalism. The liberals of the day enthusiastically advocated eugenics; in fact, the September 10, 1932 issue of Literary Digest ran an article entitled "Eugenics as the Cure for All the Race's Ills."

Anyway, retracing my steps from that pre-Yahoo! Maps detour down a side road: literally, actually just as -- an e-mail arrived from a business associate of mine (a liberal, doncha know), that contained an article with the perfect example of the racism of the left: Colorado School District Pays Six Figures To Professional Race Hustler To Tell Kids How Racist They Are." It describes what the author of the post characterizes as "professional race-hustler and certified loonbag Glenn E. Singleton" and his book Courageous Conversations About Race: A Field Guide for Achieving Equity in Schools, wherein Singleton claims that "White teachers, and minority teachers who have been 'co-opted into the white power structure' are racist by virtue of not understanding the 'special ways that blacks and Hispanics communicate.'"

That statement sounds pretty racist to me and, being that Singleton is white, he should be made to listen to a books-on-tape version of his book over and over again until he learns what he is teaching! Made ... MADE, I say! Then, he should be forced to pay reparations ... to the rest of us, and whatever sap put out a books-on-tape version of that waste of wood pulp and mylar.

As I see it, human beings are all one color: varying shades of brown, from extreme pastel to very dark. Any other distinctions are nonsense. The sooner people from all points on the political divide see it that way, the sooner we can toss "Political Correctness," that modern-day resurrection of George Orwell's "Newspeak," from "1984" on the dung-heap of history, where it has belonged all along.

Meet Obama's Controversial New Socialist Pastor

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

Rev. Jim Wallis, a member of Barack Obama's "faith council" who is described as a spiritual adviser to the president, is a socialist activist who has championed communist causes and previously labeled the U.S. "the great captor and destroyer of human life." Wallis is a long time socialist advocate and founder of a far-left magazine, Sojourners, that has championed communist causes. As a theology student, Wallis founded an anti-capitalism magazine called the Post-American, which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving "social justice." ...

Obama Throws Democrat Congressman And His Brother To The Wolves

Wes Vernon -- Renew America

Barack Hussein Obama has just presented us with more evidence that his agenda and his ego are so important that he is more than willing to sacrifice his own political allies in order to make the history books on passing his signature Health "Care" bill. He doesn't care if his party goes under in the 2010 midterm elections. We already knew that. He and his minions are so power-mad and locked into their Marxist ideology and Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," that they are willing to go down to defeat at the polls - confident that the American people will fall in love with their plot to put themselves between you and your doctor. Thereafter -- according to their playbook -- once they have you addicted to the new entitlement, they can then beat Republicans over the head every election year with their pious claims that anyone who opposes their plot to increase handouts from the program wants to toss seniors, the sick, and the poor out into the snow. They actually think you're stupid. ...

Obama's Ties To Chicago Corruption

Citizen Wells

The alleged selling of Obama's senate seat was a well crafted diversion to take the heat off of Blagojevich and Obama for the bulk of the corruption charges. The same charges that convicted Stuart Levine, Tony Rezko, Dr. Robert Weinstein and others in bed with Obama. Rod Blagojevich knew he was being watched. The alleged senate seat selling was a ploy. Why did Patrick Fitzgerald wait to arrest Rod Blagojevich until after the 2008 election? ...

The March Report URGENTLY Needs Your Support NOW.

If each regular reader would commit to donating as little as $5 per month for one year, that will keep us operating for another year as we pursue investment.

Were it not for the fact that I am disabled and homebound, such investment would have been obtained already. However, given that I cannot attend the usual venture capital meetings, that leaves me at a tremendous disadvantage, in that these meetings are the main way those wishing to invest find projects to invest in.

The homebound phase of my illness still has a year or two to run, but the March Report does not. Without an infusion of capital, the March Report will have no alternative but to cease operations within a matter of days.

I am urgently requesting your help. Please click here and donate whatever amount you can afford.

Without your immediate help, the March Report will die within a matter of days.

Will you please help?

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this criticism:

Mr. March, You linked the video of Hillary Clinton having what has been referred to as an 'outburst' on your site, yet, you did not explain the context. You omitted the truth and presented the situation as another crazy Clinton moment. You not only misportrayed the situation, you lost an opportunity to share/address the plight of women who have no rights in their country. I have been a long time reader of your March Report and have shared the Report with many people. I wrote to you addressing the Clinton video and have seen no retraction or explanation. I won't be referring anyone to this page anymore. My belief and trust that you maintain objectivity and research all sides has been permanently altered recently. Consevative or not, you have always seemed to work at being fair and true to journalism. I now am seeing you differently.

Robert Jay March Responds:

This reader has mischaracterized the report. In fact, we went out of way to add clarity to the situation. The copy proved by WMAQ-TV, the televsion station which provide the report through one of our syndicators, said "A Congolese university student seems to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's." In order to portray the situation accurately, we rewrote the copy to read as follows (emphasis added): "As a result of a translator's error, a Congolese university student appears to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's. Hillary explodes, and hilarity ensues. Oh, those wacky, wacky Clintons." That was all the information that was available on August 11, 2009, when we ran the story. Witty retort aside, we went out of our way to clarify the report. Further details from the State Department and the White House did not become available until the following day.

Another reader, who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "Needles," has an unusual take on the Certifi-Gate crisis:

The birthers need to step back and consider the consequences of their actions. If Mr. Obama were to be declared ineligible, there are several possible outcomes. They could remove him from office and install Joe Biden as President. The argument would be made that if Mr. Obama was not eligible to run for President, then the ticket is invalid as well and Joe Biden should not be Vice President. The next person in the order of succession would be Speaker of the House; Nancy Pelosi. Because no eligible candidate received a majority of electoral votes, the selection of the President could be thrown into the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would then be king-maker. The choices are Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or someone Nancy Pelosi picks. Maybe it is best to leave the birth certificate matter alone.

Robert Jay March Responds:

Mr. Obama being declared ineligible does not legally invalidate Biden's election, provided he is qualified. Even if it did, the Constitution is too important to ignore; it is all that separates us from tyranny. Regardless of the consequences, if in fact Mr. Obama is ineligible, he must be removed. That said, all we have thus far is the preponderance of evidence leading to a likely conclusion, not conclusive facts. That is why the revelation of the long-form birth certificate is so important.

Finally, a third reader who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "unihawker," writes:

Dear Mr. March, I was watching TV the other night and they showed a clip of Obama in Kenya during his trip there during the campaign. I am not sure if it was just some Freudian slip or not, but he said as he was waiving to the people greeting him, "Thank you, it is great to be back home". My question was, If he was not born in that country why would he call it home?

Robert Jay March Responds:

Good question, for which I have no answer. If this report is correct, it is yet another contribution to the preponderance of evidence that implies Mr. Obama is ineligible. A copy of the long form birth certificate would cost Mr. Obama $12; thus far he has spent $1.3 Million to avoid producing it. As in any investigation, follow the money: in this case, what money is being spent on to conceal.
