At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

Washington Is In A Frenzy Over 'Game Change'

Greg Milam -- Sky News (UK)

Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime, for example, revealed the racially insensitive comments of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid about then-candidate Barack Obama. Obama accepted Reid's apology at the weekend but the calls for the veteran Nevada Senator to resign continue to grow as the partisan squabbling reaches a new peak. But it is the 'revelations' about the likes of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, John McCain and Sarah Palin that are, in political circles at least, the stuff of fevered talk. Like the reported fact that Mrs Palin wanted to call Mr Biden 'Joe' during televised debates because she couldn't stop saying 'O'Biden' in rehearsals. And some of the private details about personal relationships that, frankly, we could all live without knowing.

British Writer Gets Sales Boost From Tiger Woods Crash

Agence France-Presse (FR)

Sales of a little-known British scientist's book have soared after it was pictured in Tiger Woods' crashed car, he said Thursday. "Get a Grip on Physics" by Doctor John Gribbin was photographed in a footwell of the car after the US golf superstar smashed it into a fire hydrant and a tree outside his Florida home last month. Within days of the pictures going round the world, the book's best-seller ranking on Internet retailer Amazon.com shot up from 396,224th position to 2,268th.

Canadian Press (CA)

The broadening recall now includes some batches of Tylenol caplets, geltabs, arthritis treatments, rapid release, and extended relief Tylenol, as well as Motrin IB, chewable extra strength Rolaids, Benadryl allergy tablets, and St. Joseph aspirin. Almost three weeks ago, the company's McNeil Consumer Healthcare Products broadened its recall to include Tylenol Arthritis Caplets. Hubble Unravels Odd Galaxy's History

Alexis Madrigal --Wired

The galaxy NGC 2976, which is located 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major, has been shaped by its interaction with the M81 group of galaxies. M81 set off star birth in the distant past, but about 500 million years ago, new stars stopped bursting into existence through the outer galaxy. Some of the galaxy's gas was stripped away, and the rest collapsed to the center, leaving just a region 5,000 light-years wide near the core that is still making stars. ...

Google Attack Puts Spotlight On China's "Red" Hackers

Reuters

China's legions of hackers were thrust into the spotlight last week after Google said it suffered a sophisticated cyber-attack emanating from China. There are tens of thousands of Hong Ke, or red visitors, as they are known in China. Many are motivated by patriotism, although it is more difficult to establish their relationship with the Chinese government or military, which some experts suspect as being behind the attacks. Some Chinese hackers train at schools like the Communication Command Academy in Wuhan to get sensitive information, cyber expert James Mulvenon told a congressional commission in 2008. China now may have up to 50,000 military hackers trained or in training, he said. This could not be independently confirmed. "Who is most likely to become the leading protagonist ... of the next war? The first challenger who has appeared and is the most well known is the computer 'hacker'," two People's Liberation Army (PLA) colonels, Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, wrote in a 1999 book, "Unrestricted Warfare." ...

An Inconvenient Lie

 "Voodoo Science" Vindicated

Times of India (IN)

India's senior-most glaciologist V K Raina today said the chief of the UN climate body should apologise to the scientist fraternity for dubbing their work on melting of Himalayan glaciers as "voodoo science". Raina's demand comes even as the UN body, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change (IPCC) headed by R K Pachauri, deliberates on retracting its statement on Himalayan glaciers melting. "The IPCC had dumped our report that the glaciers have not retreated abnormally. Now, with the truth out in open, the IPCC should dump its own report which was based on mere speculation." Raina said. ...

World Misled Over Himalayan Glacier "Meltdown"

Jonathan Leake and Chris Hastings -- London Times (UK)

Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035. In the past few days the scientists behind the warning have admitted that it was based on a news story in the New Scientist, a popular science journal, published eight years before the IPCC's 2007 report. It has also emerged that the New Scientist report was itself based on a short telephone interview with Syed Hasnain, a little-known Indian scientist then based at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi. Hasnain has since admitted that the claim was "speculation" and was not supported by any formal research. ...

4,000 Scientists, Including 72 Nobel Prize Winners, Expressed "Grave Reservations" About Man-Made Climate Change

James P. Hogan -- thunderbolts.info

Claims that human activity was, or was even capable of, measurably affecting the Earth's climate made little sense to begin with. For as far back as patterns can be reconstructed, the climate has always cycled between being warmer or cooler, wetter or drier, stormy or settled, and the changes observed during the industrial era have been well inside the swings that have taken place in the past. So there's no reason to suppose that anything, human-induced or otherwise, is affecting the climate abnormally. Compared to water vapor and the activity of the Sun, carbon dioxide plays a minor role in determining temperature, and the amount generated by Nature dwarfs anything that humans add. In any case, the times of rising temperature recorded over the ages have all happened first, not the other way around, so increases in CO2 levels are a consequence not a cause. And even if humans were having the influence that has been claimed, the results would be overwhelmingly beneficial. Living things thrive in warmer environments, not frigid ones. Far more people die in winter from the effects of cold than from heat waves. Carbon dioxide is plant food, the basis of all life. Crops and flora of every kind grow more luxuriantly with a richer supply of it. The big advances in human civilization, reflected in the rise of cultures and times of elevated expansion and exploration, inventiveness, agriculture, artistry, and science, all occurred in warmer climatic periods. Anyone who is sincere about praising the virtues of a "green" planet should love it. ...

Climategate: 30 Years In The Making

JoNova

PDF File AND TEXT. The story that emerges is not of a smoking gun, but of a 30-year time bomb whose fuse was lit in 1981, when -- despite only a handful of scientists supporting it -- the AGW theory was championed, without question, by the Press. However, due to AGW's shaky foundation, it was only a matter of time before the growing divergence between real-world data and the AGW climate models, which had been considered beyond reproach, became self-evident and problematic. Offending data was massaged to fit the models to stave off questions and the losses they might reveal. The data manipulation became so extreme that a CRU programmer tasked in 2006 with reproducing CRU's own published results using its own models and data was unable to do so after three years. ...

Obama's Deception: Health Care, C-SPAN, And Other Broken Promises

Dr. Paul Murdock -- Canada Free Press (CA)

How many of you would let your children, business partners, employees, or friends be consistently dishonest? Would you pay for a product that you had not seen or researched?  Obama's Weak Response To Airliner Attack Increases Threat To U.S.

Jim Meyers -- NewsMax

Influential journalist Arnaud de Borchgrave says that the Obama administration is "trying to make the best of a very bad situation" by downplaying the security lapses that led to a Nigerian sneaking an explosive device aboard a plane. De Borchgrave also warned about the threat posed by Pakistanis who are British citizens and can enter the U.S. without a visa; and he pointed to a "growing convergence" between the ambitions of Iran and al-Qaida in the Middle East. Asked about the Obama administration's response to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian Muslim who spent time in Yemen and allegedly attempted to detonate an explosive device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day, de Borchgrave said, "I think it's been very weak." ...

Aftershock In Haiti Not Unexpected, But Its Strength Was

Fred Tasker -- Miami Herald

Wednesday's temblor was centered about 35 miles west-southwest of Port-au-Prince and was 13.7 miles below the surface, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Such a shock can be especially dangerous in a city where buildings already are damaged by an earlier quake. On the Richter Scale, a magnitude 6.1 quake is considered "strong," with light damage expected. Wednesday's quake is "not completely unexpected," he said. "It's standard to have aftershocks for several weeks after earthquakes, and they can be almost as big as the main shock." That was certainly the case in Haiti. Since the big quake a week ago Tuesday, the area around Haiti had experienced 43 aftershocks, ...

YEST Looting Continues In Haiti As Residents Leave Capital In Search Of Food

William Ide -- Voice Of America

Audio AND TEXT. U.S. troops patrolled the streets of Port-au-Prince on Monday in an attempt to drive away looters who were breaking into shops and buildings to grab whatever they could find. Some people have begun fleeing the capital for the countryside in search of food and better shelter. At times on Monday, Haitian police fired shots into the air to disperse large roving bands of scavenging looters as they swarmed across the capital. Transportation bottlenecks, bureaucratic confusion, fear of attacks on aid convoys and the collapse of local authority is also making it difficult for help to reach quake victims. ...

Alfred de Montesquiou -- Associated Press

Thousands of Haiti quake victims are struggling to board buses to flee hunger and violence in the shattered capital, hoping that food will be easier to find in the countryside. But both gasoline and food are scarce in Port-au-Prince, and bus drivers have hiked fares, forcing some to pay more than three days' wages for a seat. Four helicopters brought the first of 2,200 American Marines and seamen into Port-au-Prince as thousands of homeless Haitians camping out in the city's central squares cheered or simply stared. Tiger Woods Wants Elin For Kobe Bryant Style Comeback

TheImproper

Tiger Woods is trying to pull a Kobe Bryant and use the same strategy the NBA star used to rebuild his image after a sex scandal. But wife Elin Nordegren is refusing to play ball. Bryant, a superstar with the LA Lakers, was accused of raping a 19-year old hotel employee in 2003. Although he denied the charges, he admited having sex with the woman. The revelation tarnished his image and cost him millions of dollars in endorsements. But he was able to resolve her claims out of court with a cash settlement and a confidentiality agreement.  Jobless Rates Seen High For Many More Years

Lisa Lambert -- Reuters

Unemployment rates will likely peak in most U.S. cities in 2010, but it will be many more years before jobless rates hit their lows of the last decade, a report released by a U.S. mayors group shows. "What is just as alarming as the double-digit unemployment in many of the nation's major metro areas is the lethargic rate at which it will recede once the job market turns around," the report said. The national unemployment rate currently stands at 10 percent. ...

Authorities say that Christopher B. Speight killed eight people Tuesday, including his wife and son, in what was apparently his home in the rural area near historic Appomattox. At about noon Tuesday, emergency officials received a call about a man lying wounded in a street, and heard gunshots when they arrived at the location. That man apparently died after he was taken to a hospital. Four more bodies were found outside a nearby home, and three inside. Police surrounded Mr. Speight in a wooded area roughly two miles wide and 1,000 yards long near the home. Erin White -- Wall Street Journal

NBC's handling of the Jay Leno-Conan O'Brien succession provides lessons in what not to do, management watchers say. NBC made two critical missteps six years ago when the network signed Mr. O'Brien to replace Mr. Leno in 2009, say management consultants. It's a bad idea to promise someone a promotion in order to retain him, they say, and so is naming a successor too far in advance. The moves came back to bite NBC this month, and offer a cautionary tale for managers in other industries. ...

March Report Podcast

News and Opinion Presented by Robert Jay March

21:39. Recorded
Monday, January 11, 2010
TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Glenn Beck:
The Verdict Is In

On the January 4, 2010 edition of Glenn Beck's Radio Program, Beck mocked the so-called "birthers": those of us who believe, and have submitted extensive evidence to prove, that Barack Obama is not legally qualified to serve as President of The United States, per Article II Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution: "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President." March discusses Beck's remarks, why he made them, and what Beck's afraid of. During his last podcast, Robert Jay March asked, "Is Glenn Beck a Hero or a Coward?" The verdict is now in.

Britt Hume's Remarks on Tiger Woods and Buddhism.

On the January 3, 2010 edition of Fox News Sunday, Hume said this: "the extent to which [Tiger] can recover seems to me depends on his faith. He's said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith." Robert Jay March, a practicing Buddhist for 38 years, and a devout Catholic before that, corrects Hume's misunderstanding of the Buddhist faith, explaining how that "kind of forgiveness and redemption" is implicit in the Buddhism, and the personal tragedy in Hume's life that account for his statement.

Democrats Try To Rush Health Care Bill Before Brown Is Seated

Erica Werner -- Associated Press

"We shouldn't show the arrogance of not getting the message here," said liberal Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., contending independents had turned against the bill and the Democratic base had lost its enthusiasm. "I don't think it would be the worst thing to take a step back" and turn the focus to jobs, in conjunction with scaled-back health care goals. Republicans said don't even bother: The election of Brown over the once-favored Democrat Martha Coakley in the Democratic stronghold sent a message that the health legislation should be scrapped altogether. Losing the Massachusetts seat will cost the Democrats the 60th vote needed to overcome Republican efforts to block legislation in the Senate. ...

YEST Scott Brown Endorsed By Boston Herald Editorial Staff

Boston Herald

Late Sunday the White House telegraphed to the people of Massachusetts how very important today's vote is. No, not with the personal appearance of Barack Obama in Boston, but by leaking a plan to bypass a vote in the U.S. Senate in a last ditch effort to pass his health care bill. It is a sign of the level of desperation of this administration and the lengths to which it is willing to go to thwart the democratic process in pursuit of a plan that has rapidly lost favor with the American public. What we don't need is one more member of the U.S. Senate who when the Democratic leadership says "jump" will ask only "how high?" Brown, a member of the National Guard's Judge Advocate General's Corps, also brings a level of critical expertise to an increasingly contentious subject that the Senate will have to deal with in the days ahead. The eyes of the nation are on Massachusetts. ...

"I don't like business as usual, which is what we have now, and I also recognize the national consequences with this election," Mr. Rivard said. Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

Proposed Arizona Law: Dump Presidential Candidates Who Can't Prove Citizenship From Ballot

Howard Fischer -- Capitol Media Services

Barack Obama wants to run for reelection he would need to produce proof of both his U.S. birth and citizenship to get on the ballot in Arizona, if one state lawmaker gets her way. Rep. Judy Burges, R-Skull Valley, is preparing a law to require anyone running for president or vice president to provide proof to the Arizona Secretary of State's Office that they are legally eligible to seek the office. The U.S. Constitution requires the president -- and, by extension, the vice president -- to be "a natural born citizen." Burges would require the Secretary of State to verify that status independently. "If it's not certifiable, then that person's name would not go on the ballot," she said. ...

Secret Service Agents Pay Visits To Those Who Question Obama's Eligibility

Drew Zahn -- World Net Daily

In blogs, interviews and e-mails, "birthers" around the country are reporting surveillance and visits from the U.S. Secret Service, whose agents have questioned - or, as some report, intimidated - them over their insistence that Barack Obama prove his constitutional eligibility to serve as president. Stephen Pidgeon, an attorney for Washington state plaintiffs challenging Obama's eligibility, grew suspicious in March when his wife and coworkers reported being shadowed by police and three, black SUVs. "We are definitely under surveillance and it's coordinated with Homeland Security," Pidgeon alleged. The author of this story contacted the Secret Service and spoke with the agent Laudenslager reports visited him in Pennsylvania, but the agent explained he was not permitted to comment. ...

Yet again, Glenn Beck shows himself to be completely ignorant of the issue, while presuming to ridicule those who have taken the time to research it. The "certification of live birth" posted online and widely touted as "Obama's birth certificate" does not in any way prove he was born in Hawaii, since the same "short-form" document is easily obtainable for children not born in Hawaii. The true "long-form" birth certificate, which includes information such as the name of the birth hospital and attending physician, is the only document that can prove Obama was born in Hawaii, but to date he has not permitted its release for public or press scrutiny. ...

Closed Chrysler Dealers To Challenge Obama's Eligibility

Bob Unruh -- World Net Daily

Two lawyers, Leo Donofrio and Stephen Pidgeon, have joined forces to assemble a case challenging in U.S. bankruptcy court the federal government's use of Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to bail out Chrysler and in doing so may have created a scenario that finally will bring to a head the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president. Their new case questions the authority by which the federal government and administration officials intervened in the auto industry, specifically allocating some $8 billion-plus to Chrysler, which later was forgiven. The clients in the case are former Chrysler dealers who lost their businesses as part of the "restructuring" of the automobile company. They have been damaged with the loss of their businesses, and the case alleges the Obama administration, through its use of TARP money, influenced Chrysler's outcome. Along with a bankruptcy court challenge, a "quo warranto" case is being filed in Washington, D.C., demanding to know by what authority administration officials set up the financial arrangements with Chrysler and handed out taxpayer money. As part of the demand for information about the authority used, Donofrio confirmed, there will be questions about Obama's eligibility to be president. ...

YEST Erich Segal Dies At 72

Telegraph (UK)

Erich Segal was an esteemed Classics professor who produced the critically-panned but popularly-adored novel Love Story, which was turned into a film starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal; he also wrote the screenplay for the Beatles' animated feature Yellow Submarine. But it was Love Story, the mawkish tale of a poor girl who meets a rich boy and supports him through law school, only to die of leukaemia, that made his name. ...

Guest Editorial:
An Open Letter To
Glenn Beck

by Stephen Pidgeon, J.D.

Dear Mr. Beck:

You are ill-informed on the "birther" issue. Barack Obama, by his own admission, was a British subject at birth. He has never denied having a Kenyan father, who himself was a British subject as a Kenyan native. This is easly established under the British Nationality Act of 1948. He is therefore disqualified to run for the office of the President, because the office is not available to subjects of other governments. The issue is very simple, and very obvious. Obama himself admitted that he wasn't a natural born citizen when he debated Alan Keyes in 2004.

Let's see you deal with this one. There is nothing "nutty" about it, and it doesn't depend on whether his maternal grandmother tried to cover up a foreign birth in Hawaii by placing newspaper notices. It is as plain as your face. BHO is a foreign national first, and an American secondarily, if at all. That is why he thinks there are 57 states; why he doesn't understand the constitution; why he wants to give us Britain's health care system (it's all in the teeth, don't you know); why he thinks Interpol should have greater authority in the US than US law enforcement; etc. He is a British subject and has no business holding the office of POTUS.

If you think you can overlook this constitutional crisis as not part of the Rubicon, you are mistaken. One constitutional overlook breeds another and the next thing you know, the financial industry is nationalized, the auto industry is nationalized, the health care industry is about to be nationalized, and the energy industry will soon be nationalized.

Ultimately, it is all going to be okay, because socialism only lasts until other people's money (OPM) runs out, and binge spender BHO has spent all the money we have and all the money we will ever have for the next several generations. He spent all of this before he got his socialist healthcare on the table. He and his wife have partied like Eddie Murphy in The Distinguished Gentleman (1992) since taking office, while he has busied himself with overthrowing the constitutional republic, establishing a new Islamic empire worldwide, disarming and crippling America, and unilaterally dividing Israel and Jerusalem. The only budget constraint for Obama is ink and paper (and he is working his way around that) and his foreign policy advisor appears to be "mirror, mirror on the wall." He has bankrupted the nation, which the sleeping Oprah watchers are now discovering for the very first time. The reality of the bankruptcy will hit home with gusto in 2010. Not only will we suffer with 30% unemployment, a complete collapse of real estate, and a complete collapse of the dollar, we will also suffer the slings and arrows of dramatic military defeats, as we let this foreigner steer the ship of state. Most Americans have no idea how bad it is going to get.

As for Obama: he will be one of history's most reviled figures -- on a par with Nero -- as a fool who couldn't even understand that when he denigrated the United States, he was destroying the very state upon which his safety and his legacy depended. He will suffer dramatic defeat in Afghanistan and Iraq -- it will not be like Viet Nam, and his name will be tarred with it. It will be more like the disastrous defeat of Xerxes at Salamis, or the Ottomans at Sisek, or the Moors at Tours; a game changing defeat that will forever cement the destiny of the republic known as the United States of America. Obama will join the other names in history who suffered cataclysmic losses in the lands of Magog.

His legacy? A communist, collectivist fool, brainwashed by red diaper doper babies haunting the halls of ivy league academia whose agenda was to bring back the failed Bolshevik revolution worldwide, who brought his fully bloomed ignorance to power illegally in the US because of the needs of his narcissistic ego, whose illegitimacy caused the US to go bankrupt and to suffer its worst military setbacks in the history of the nation in just a few short months. History will marvel at the foolishness of Americans, and historians will wonder how we as a people could have allowed this to happen. Then, of course, historians will ultimately conclude that the demise of the greatest nation the world had ever known happened because the watchdogs whose duty it was to warn Americans of such possibilities -- the so-called news media -- conspired with foreign powers and global financial criminals to destroy America from the inside, as a result of their cowardice, malevolence and silence.

Glenn Beck: a media persona who simply could not bring himself to utter the truth about Obama -- that he is a usurper, holding the presidency illegally and unconstitutionally, because he is without a legal birthright. Let us never forget who shirked their duty to tell the truth in these last hours, and let us not allow history to forget.

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this criticism:

Mr. March, You linked the video of Hillary Clinton having what has been referred to as an 'outburst' on your site, yet, you did not explain the context. You omitted the truth and presented the situation as another crazy Clinton moment. You not only misportrayed the situation, you lost an opportunity to share/address the plight of women who have no rights in their country. I have been a long time reader of your March Report and have shared the Report with many people. I wrote to you addressing the Clinton video and have seen no retraction or explanation. I won't be referring anyone to this page anymore. My belief and trust that you maintain objectivity and research all sides has been permanently altered recently. Consevative or not, you have always seemed to work at being fair and true to journalism. I now am seeing you differently.

Robert Jay March Responds:

This reader has mischaracterized the report. In fact, we went out of way to add clarity to the situation. The copy proved by WMAQ-TV, the televsion station which provide the report through one of our syndicators, said "A Congolese university student seems to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's." In order to portray the situation accurately, we rewrote the copy to read as follows (emphasis added): "As a result of a translator's error, a Congolese university student appears to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's. Hillary explodes, and hilarity ensues. Oh, those wacky, wacky Clintons." That was all the information that was available on August 11, 2009, when we ran the story. Witty retort aside, we went out of our way to clarify the report. Further details from the State Department and the White House did not become available until the following day.

Another reader, who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "Needles," has an unusual take on the Certifi-Gate crisis:

The birthers need to step back and consider the consequences of their actions. If Mr. Obama were to be declared ineligible, there are several possible outcomes. They could remove him from office and install Joe Biden as President. The argument would be made that if Mr. Obama was not eligible to run for President, then the ticket is invalid as well and Joe Biden should not be Vice President. The next person in the order of succession would be Speaker of the House; Nancy Pelosi. Because no eligible candidate received a majority of electoral votes, the selection of the President could be thrown into the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would then be king-maker. The choices are Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or someone Nancy Pelosi picks. Maybe it is best to leave the birth certificate matter alone.

Robert Jay March Responds:

Mr. Obama being declared ineligible does not legally invalidate Biden's election, provided he is qualified. Even if it did, the Constitution is too important to ignore; it is all that separates us from tyranny. Regardless of the consequences, if in fact Mr. Obama is ineligible, he must be removed. That said, all we have thus far is the preponderance of evidence leading to a likely conclusion, not conclusive facts. That is why the revelation of the long-form birth certificate is so important.

Finally, a third reader who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "unihawker," writes:

Dear Mr. March, I was watching TV the other night and they showed a clip of Obama in Kenya during his trip there during the campaign. I am not sure if it was just some Freudian slip or not, but he said as he was waiving to the people greeting him, "Thank you, it is great to be back home". My question was, If he was not born in that country why would he call it home?

Robert Jay March Responds:

Good question, for which I have no answer. If this report is correct, it is yet another contribution to the preponderance of evidence that implies Mr. Obama is ineligible. A copy of the long form birth certificate would cost Mr. Obama $12; thus far he has spent $1.3 Million to avoid producing it. As in any investigation, follow the money: in this case, what money is being spent on to conceal.
