At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

FDA: Are Caffeine & Alcohol Safe To Mix?

Morgan Fogarty -- WCCB-TV

The Food and Drug Administration notified nearly 30 manufacturers of caffeinated alcoholic beverages that it will look into the legality and safety of the products. The FDA has not approved the use of caffeine in alcoholic drinks, so the drinks can only be lawfully marketed if the substance is "Generally Recognized As Safe," or GRAS. For a substance to be GRAS, there has to be evidence of it's safety. Evidence the FDA is now asking for. Companies have 30 days to respond to the FDA. They have to give proof that mixing caffeine and alcohol is safe. If they don't, the FDA says it'll pursue legal action. This red flag has been raised because the drinks are gaining in popularity with college students. It's reported that 26 percent combine alcohol and caffeine. ...

Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

We Stand At The Precipice, With A Usurper In The Oval Office

Lynn Stuter -- News With Views

We stand at the precipice of the totalitarian state with a man occupying the White House, usurping the Oval Office, who isn't an American; who has, by his own actions and words, declared himself a Marxist. The United States Congress, assembled, has refused to remove this usurper sitting illegitimately as our president. The United States Supreme Court, and lower courts, have refused to address the growing body of evidence that Barack Hussein Obama is not our legitimate president; going so far as to make the ludicrous claim that they cannot overturn the vote of millions, in essence saying that popular vote (if it could even be claimed to be uncorrupted) is above the law. ...

Michelle Contradicts Obama Nativity Story

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

In little noticed remarks, Michelle Obama stated at a public event that her husband's mother, Ann Dunham, was "very young and very single" when she gave birth to the future U.S. "president." Her comments further undermine the official story as told by Barack Obama: that Dunham was married to his father, Barack Obama Sr., at the time of birth. The official story claims Dunham and Obama, Sr. were married Feb. 2, 1961. The pair separated two years later and they divorced in 1964. Obama's father returned to Kenya and saw his son only once more before dying in an automobile accident in 1982. In actuality, it isn't clear Obama's parents were married, since official records have never been produced showing a legal ceremony took place. No wedding certificate or photograph of a ceremony for Dunham and Obama Sr. has ever been found or published. ...

Joseph Berger -- New York Times

Rudolph W. Giuliani, mayor of New York at the time of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, said on Sunday that the Obama administration's decision to try Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the self-described mastermind of the attacks, in a civilian court in Manhattan would unnecessarily cost millions of dollars for security, create legal advantages for the defense and symbolically deny that the United States is at war with terrorism. "It gives an unnecessary advantage to the terrorists and why would you want to give an advantage to the terrorists, and it poses risks for New York," Mr. Giuliani said in an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union."  Muslim Soldiers Speak Out In Wake Of Base Attack: "We Love America"

Niraj Warikoo -- Detroit Free Press

Caught between two worlds, they're trying to carve out their own identity during a time of war when some are questioning their loyalty. A director with a conservative Christian group says Muslims should be banned from serving. And amid the many Muslim leaders who denounced the Ft. Hood shootings were a few who praised Hasan, saying his actions were Islamic. But Muslim veterans strongly reject the extremists on both sides. "We love this country," said Shelton Hasan, 54, of Detroit, an Army veteran, "and want to protect it like anyone else." ...

Fort Hood Suspect A Loner

CNN

People who knew and studied Maj. Nidal Hasan say he was a loner who had no luck finding a wife, and a criminal profiler said the Fort Hood shooting suspect fits the profile of a mass murderer better than that of a terrorist. Investigators are searching for any missed "red flags" that might have prevented last week's fatal shooting, which left 12 soldiers and one civilian dead and 40 other people wounded. However, the FBI has said its investigations indicate the "alleged gunman acted alone and was not part of a broader terrorist plot." ...

Military Not Told About Ft. Hood Suspect's E-Mails

Julian E. Barnes and Josh Meyer -- Los Angeles Times

Defense officials said Tuesday that the department did not learn about Hasan's contacts with Awlaki until after the Ft. Hood shootings. "There was no U.S. Army or other Department of Defense organization that knew of any contact he had with Muslim extremists," said the senior Defense official, who requested anonymity when discussing the ongoing investigation. The FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Forces investigated e-mails that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan sent over the last year to Anwar al Awlaki, an imam in Yemen who espouses a radical Islamist ideology and who has ties to militants. Task force members concluded that the communications posed no threat and had been undertaken as part of Hasan's research on Muslims, the military and post-traumatic stress disorders. ...

TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Is Glenn Beck a Hero, a Coward ... or BOTH?

Indisputibly, Glenn Beck has provided heroic service to this country on his radio and cable-tv program by exposing the unconstitutional socialization of the United States by the Obama Administration. That said, it appears that he has caved to pressure regarding Certifi-Gate, the occupation of the White House by a constitutionally ineligible electee. Robert Jay March thoroughly analyzes this, exposing the pressures that he and other on-air talent have had placed them by corporate honchos who care more about their profits than our country.
Fox News was set up by Roger Ailes, a former president of CNBC and the late, lamented America's Talking Network, the pre-cursor of MSNBC. March discusses the hidden motivation behind Ailes' building of Fox News into the only television news operation that is not a press-release service for the Obama Administration, not to mention crushing MSNBC and CNN. Do you think the execs at GE are wishing they could turn the clock back?
What does the late, unlamented Hernando Cortés have to do with MarchReport.com? Robert Jay March explains the two-month gap since his last podcast, as he worked behind the scenes to make MarchReport.com bigger and better, while burning all his other boats behind him. March describes how he came to be disabled and home-bound eight years ago, yet continued to work 100 to 120 hours a week running two businesses throughout it all.
Manuel Zelaya, the deposed President of Honduras, who was legally removed from office in accordance with the Honduran Constitution, is being returned to office as a result of pressure from the Obama administration. Hmmm ... they pressured the Honduran Government to restore a President who had violated their Constitution and been legally removed from office. Wonder why? March thinks he knows.

How Freeing Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One From The Borg Collective Provoked a Constitutional Crisis On 21st-Century Earth
... or ...
Bait for the "Birther"-debunkers

by Robert Jay March

Actress Jeri Ryan, best known to the American public as "Seven of Nine" on the series "Star Trek -- Voyager," is responsible for the whole mess. No, I haven't taken leave of my senses ... not yet anyway ... as the following narrative will show.

In 1990, then-Jeri Lynn Zimmermann met future political candidate Jack Ryan, married him on June 15, 1991, and ultimately divorced him on August 27, 1999. When Jack Ryan was running for the Senate on the Republican ticket in 2004, WLS-TV, the Chicago ABC affiliate, sought to have his divorce and child custody records released. In print, if it bleeds it leads; on TV, if it skewers, it attracts viewers.

When the custody records were released after a protracted court battle, it was revealed that Jack Ryan had repeatedly asked, begged and cajoled Jeri to perform sexual acts in public in various sex clubs. Ms. Ryan described one of these clubs as "a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling." Obviously not a "family values" kind of guy, Jack Ryan's poll numbers were plummeting faster than an ejected warp-core falling into a black hole. He was force to withdraw from the race, and was replaced by Alan Keyes, who lost to ... wait for it ... Barack Obama!

Barack Obama's very first act as "President" made it illegal to release any of his records. "EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489 -- PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS," signed by Barack Obama on January 21, 2009, begins as follows: "By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America ..."

As I have said over and over and over again, if there is nothing to hide, why hide it? Yet, the very first thing he did as alleged-President was sign an Executive Order that locks all of his records -- including his personal ones -- away from public view. This leaves us in a legal mobius loop: If his personal records prove that he is ineligible, then he is not President, and the Executive Order is null and void, but in order to prove that he is ineligible, one must have access to his personal records. Quoting the eminent philosopher Homer Simpson,
   "DOH!"

It is interesting to note that, in the private sector, Obama was employed by the law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland, which describes itself as "one of the best-known and most experienced firms in the country in large-scale voting rights cases." As such, they have done extensive Constitutional research, such as that cited in a case wherein Obama was one of the lawyers representing ACORN, ACORN V. EDGAR.

It is rumored that Miner, Barnhill & Galland also researched ways and means of getting around Article II Section 1 of the Constitution ("No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...") Now, read that Executive Order again.

If only Jeri had let her hubby get his freak on, the nation may have been spared all of this; but nooooooo, she left us with a typically-Republican sex scandal (two straight people and no sex) which ultimately led to a Constitutionally unqualified man being elected President.

By now, many of you are asking yourselves why I even bothered to write about this. Simple: half the country believes that Obama is not legally qualified, and the other half simply has not looked at the evidence, assuming we're all nuts, racists, or both.

Those people won't be able to resist reading this article: It embarrasses Republicans, it involves science fiction, has sex, intrigue, and a gorgeous woman whose talents let her rise to the top (or vice versa). They'll pass this around as evidence that the "Birthers" have finally lost it; and, a very few of them will be intrigued enough to actually check the facts, just as I did when I did not believe it, and realize that we're right.

Resistance is futile. It just takes a while.

Obama Intel Pick Lauded Iranian Nuclear Program As 'Deterrent' Against Israel

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

The Obama administration's withdrawn nominee for a top intelligence post delivered a speech to a pro-Arab U.S. group in which he claimed that Israel has long assassinated peace-loving Palestinian leaders. Freeman was slated to head the National Intelligence Council but withdrew his nomination in March following revelations that he has financial ties to the infamous bin Laden family and that he sits on the board of a major oil company owned by the Chinese government that had been in the midst of a multibillion dollar deal with Iran that may violate U.S. sanctions. It is also alleged that Freeman once peddled a Saudi-funded book to U.S. public schools that falsely claims Muslims inhabited North America far before European explorers. ...

Obama's Secret Deal To Sabotage Israel

Barak Ravid and Natasha Mozgovaya -- Haaretz (IZ)

The reports indicated that Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has reached a secret understanding with the Obama administration over U.S. recognition of an independent Palestinian state. Such recognition would likely transform any Israeli presence across the Green Line, even in Jerusalem, into an illegal incursion to which the Palestinians would be entitled to engage in measures of self-defense. ...

No Prompter, No Facts

Mike Bates -- News Busters

In his remarks about the Fort Hood shootings, Barack Obama did it again, illustrating the dangers of his giving shout outs without a teleprompter. "I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It's good to see you," Obama said. The problem: Crow is not a Medal of Honor recipient; he is a recipient of the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. ...

 China's Blunt Talk For Obama

Aaron Back -- Wall Street Journal

Liu Mingkang, chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, said that a weak U.S. dollar and low U.S. interest rates had led to "massive speculation" that was inflating asset bubbles around the world. It has created "unavoidable risks for the recovery of the global economy, especially emerging economies," Mr. Liu said. The situation is "seriously impacting global asset prices and encouraging speculation in stock and property markets." His comments signaled that Mr. Obama -- on the third leg of a four-country Asian tour -- can expect blunt talk from Chinese leaders on the economy. The issue could complicate his broad agenda in China that also includes efforts to extract new commitments on climate change and to encourage them to take a more active role to defuse nuclear threats in Iran and North Korea. ...

Transcript Of Liz Cheney's Segment Of Fox News Sunday

Associated Press

From the transcript: Chris Wallace asked Liz Cheney: "If she wanted to take advantage of all the attention she's going to get -- she's going to -- I mean, it's not just the book. She's going to be on Oprah tomorrow. She's going to be on Barbara Walters all week. She's going to be on Fox a bunch of times. Should she try to pivot off this who struck John during the campaign and talk about other things?"
Cheney replied: "You know, I actually don't think she's stuck on that. I've actually read parts of the book, and it's a good book. It's a good read. It's well written. She comes across, you know, as very likable, as somebody with a lot of common sense. When she does make criticism, I have to say she does it with a pretty deft touch, and the book is moving in some parts. She talks about what it was like to meet mothers and other children with Down syndrome on the campaign trail. So you know, it's clearly -- it reads like it was written by somebody who's got their future in mind. And you know, I think that the media likes to focus on, you know, sort of who shot John and who's up and who's down." ...

Senate Won't Rush Health Bill: Top Republican

John Crawley -- Reuters

"This will be on the floor for quite a long time," Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell told "Fox News Sunday" ahead of possible action this week on a procedural vote to bring the legislation up for debate on the Senate floor. McConnell would not elaborate on a time frame for consideration or say whether the measure to reform the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare system could clear the chamber by the end of the year as President Barack Obama has said he hopes. "There will be a lot of amendments over a lot of weeks. I mean, the Senate is not the House. You saw in the House three votes and it was over in one day," McConnell said. ...

Obama Backers Fear Opportunities To Reshape Judiciary Are Slipping Away

Charlie Savage -- New York Times

Theodore Shaw, a Columbia University law professor who until recently led the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Inc., said liberals feared that the White House was not taking advantage of its chance to fill vacancies while Democrats enjoy a razor-thin advantage in the Senate enabling them to cut off the threat of filibusters against nominees. There are nearly 100 vacancies on federal courts. "It's not any secret that among the civil rights community and other folks there has been a growing concern about the pace of nominations and confirmations," Mr. Shaw said. "You have to move fairly quickly because things are going to shut down before you know it, given that next year is an election year and who knows what is going to happen in the midterm elections. No one wants a blown opportunity." ...

Palestinian Authority leaders say that they are launching a new diplomatic campaign to gain international backing for a Palestinian state, after which they will unilaterally declare statehood in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem -- without waiting for a peace treaty with Israel. Israel pushed back Sunday, issuing a warning that such a declaration of statehood would destroy previous peace agreements and goodwill. The words come from both the King James Version and a recent translation by Robert Alter. The pictures come from Crumb's pen, the same sort of art pen that he's done all of his life's work with -- all of it, no pastels, watercolors, pencil, just this pen scritching away for half a century in a fury of crosshatching and black-and-white starkness. God said . . . R. Crumb? Here they are, together at last on the first page of this book, Crumb drawing God as if he were a madman inventor, beard and hair down to his ankles, and the whites of his eyes showing over the tops of his irises and his hairy, thick-fingered hands grasping what looks like a combination of a circle saw and a black hole, "without form, and void."

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this criticism:

Mr. March, You linked the video of Hillary Clinton having what has been referred to as an 'outburst' on your site, yet, you did not explain the context. You omitted the truth and presented the situation as another crazy Clinton moment. You not only misportrayed the situation, you lost an opportunity to share/address the plight of women who have no rights in their country. I have been a long time reader of your March Report and have shared the Report with many people. I wrote to you addressing the Clinton video and have seen no retraction or explanation. I won't be referring anyone to this page anymore. My belief and trust that you maintain objectivity and research all sides has been permanently altered recently. Consevative or not, you have always seemed to work at being fair and true to journalism. I now am seeing you differently.

Robert Jay March Responds:

This reader has mischaracterized the report. In fact, we went out of way to add clarity to the situation. The copy proved by WMAQ-TV, the televsion station which provide the report through one of our syndicators, said "A Congolese university student seems to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's." In order to portray the situation accurately, we rewrote the copy to read as follows (emphasis added): "As a result of a translator's error, a Congolese university student appears to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's. Hillary explodes, and hilarity ensues. Oh, those wacky, wacky Clintons." That was all the information that was available on August 11, 2009, when we ran the story. Witty retort aside, we went out of our way to clarify the report. Further details from the State Department and the White House did not become available until the following day.

Another reader, who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "Needles," has an unusual take on the Certifi-Gate crisis:

The birthers need to step back and consider the consequences of their actions. If Mr. Obama were to be declared ineligible, there are several possible outcomes. They could remove him from office and install Joe Biden as President. The argument would be made that if Mr. Obama was not eligible to run for President, then the ticket is invalid as well and Joe Biden should not be Vice President. The next person in the order of succession would be Speaker of the House; Nancy Pelosi. Because no eligible candidate received a majority of electoral votes, the selection of the President could be thrown into the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would then be king-maker. The choices are Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or someone Nancy Pelosi picks. Maybe it is best to leave the birth certificate matter alone.

Robert Jay March Responds:

Mr. Obama being declared ineligible does not legally invalidate Biden's election, provided he is qualified. Even if it did, the Constitution is too important to ignore; it is all that separates us from tyranny. Regardless of the consequences, if in fact Mr. Obama is ineligible, he must be removed. That said, all we have thus far is the preponderance of evidence leading to a likely conclusion, not conclusive facts. That is why the revelation of the long-form birth certificate is so important.

Finally, a third reader who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "unihawker," writes:

Dear Mr. March, I was watching TV the other night and they showed a clip of Obama in Kenya during his trip there during the campaign. I am not sure if it was just some Freudian slip or not, but he said as he was waiving to the people greeting him, "Thank you, it is great to be back home". My question was, If he was not born in that country why would he call it home?

Robert Jay March Responds:

Good question, for which I have no answer. If this report is correct, it is yet another contribution to the preponderance of evidence that implies Mr. Obama is ineligible. A copy of the long form birth certificate would cost Mr. Obama $12; thus far he has spent $1.3 Million to avoid producing it. As in any investigation, follow the money: in this case, what money is being spent on to conceal.
