At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

The Long Term Effects Of Genetically Modified Food On Humans

F. William Engdahl -- Global Research (CA)
As a precondition to buy seeds, either to plant for crops or to use in research study, Monsanto and the gene giant companies must first sign an End User Agreement with the company. For the past decade, the period when the greatest proliferation of GMO seeds in agriculture has taken place, Monsanto, Pioneer (DuPont) and Syngenta require anyone buying their GMO seeds to sign an agreement that explicitly forbids that the seeds be used for any independent research. Scientists are prohibited from testing a seed to explore under what conditions it flourishes or even fails. They cannot compare any characteristics of the GMO seed with any other GMO or non-GMO seeds from another company. Most alarming, they are prohibited from examining whether the genetically modified crops lead to unintended side-effects either in the environment or in animals or humans. The only research which is permitted to be published in reputable scientific peer-reviewed journals are studies which have been pre-approved by Monsanto and the other industry GMO firms. ...

Human Malaria Started In Chimpanzees

Economist (UK)
Ague, tertian fever, quartan fever, paludism. Malaria has been known about since ancient times and has gone under many names. Today, it kills over a million people a year, most of them young children. Where it originally came from, though, has been a matter of scientific debate for half a century. A paper just published in the Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences shows that Frank Livingstone, a noted anthropologist, got it right in 1958. ...

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

Pat K, a subscriber to the March Report Daily Alert Newsletter sent the following in reference to our July 12, 2009 issue:

Robert,
I am usually happy to see your report in my inbox. Today was different. I saw the headlines "Innocent man Released after Serving 20 years". I search for the article and what do I find?? ONE LINE. NOT a full article. NOT a full story, NOOO just ONE line. What kind of CRAP is this????? If you write a headline, you should write an article, NOT ONE LINE. Stop being lazy.

Robert Jay March's response:

You have misunderstood the purpose of our newsletter. The description that appears under the headline is simply an excerpt from the full story, which, if you click on the link above the headline in the newsletter, you will be able to read. The excerpt is there to allow you to decide whether or not the story interests you, so you don't waste bandwidth accessing articles that you are disappointed with. It is only a "blurb," not the full story.
Second, we have to be very careful with stories of that kind, as graphic descriptions cause our newsletters to bounce, due to the filters on various web servers around the world designed to screen out junk and offensive material. With over half a million subscribers, that causes a great deal of problems at this end. Hence, the description of such stories in our newsletter have to be vague, in order to actually get the newsletter delivered at all. That is beyond our control.
Finally, I would recommend you switch your subscription to our Yahoo! group. It has fewer subscribers, and as a result you will get your newsletter several hours earlier. Also, the constrains described above do not apply to the Yahoo! list, as that always gets delivered unchallenged.
BTW, as to being "lazy," I work 120 hours a week, despite being disabled and home-bound.

Christine P., another subscriber to the March Report Daily Alert Newsletter (Yahoo! verson) sent this:

Taconic State Parkway Crash:
Diabetic Ketoacidosis Can Mimic Symptoms Of Drunkenness

Robert Jay March -- March Report
As a diabetic myself, I am well aware of the complications of Diabetes, and the problems caused when those symptoms are mis-read by others. The symptoms of Diabetic Ketoacidosis mimic those of drunkenness, and can cause a false-positive on a drunk test. The link above will take you to the Wikipedia entry for Diabetic ketoacidosis. I strongly suggest that there not be a rush to judgement regarding the tragic events on the Taconic State Parkway. Let's wait for all the facts to come out. ...

DEET's Damage Extends To Humans

Rachel Ehrenberg -- Science News
DEET, the active ingredient in many bug repellents, doesn't only cripple mosquitoes: it also meddles with mammals. A new study examining DEET's effects on insects, mice and human proteins reports that the chemical interferes with a prominent central nervous system enzyme. This effect is magnified when exposure to DEET is combined with exposure to certain pesticides. "DEET is a good chemical for protection against insects," he says. "But prolonged exposure results in neurological damage, and this is enhanced by other chemicals and medications." ...

Why Attack Twitter?

Erik Larkin -- PC World
Twitter and Facebook were hit today with denial-of-service attacks that can knock a site offline, but don't steal information or cause permanent damage. The question is, why? Both sites have lately become attractive targets for online crooks who try to trick users into installing malware on their PCs. But today's attacks against the sites are different. Denial-of-service attacks, or DoS, overwhelm a site or service with so much garbage data that it can't respond to normal requests. Your browser might ask a site to send the text, code and images used to display its Web page, but during a DoS attack the site is snowed under and can't respond. So you don't see anything. ...

Stimulus Scam Redux?

William P. Hoar -- New American Magazine
In late May, after 100 days in office, President Obama also boasted that "we are already seeing results." He called his spending orgy "the most sweeping economic recovery act in history -- a plan designed to save jobs, create new ones and put money in people's pockets" -- as if the money hadn't been taken out of the taxpayers' pockets in the first place. Now, having rushed through the emergency measure, it turns out that 10 percent unemployment is just around the corner -- just what was threatened if the bill didn't pass. The White House is also trying to rewrite history to make excuses about why the job situation has deteriorated. However, regardless of its current claims, the administration did have the latest figures at its disposal when it predicted unemployment would be 8.1 percent in 2009 and drop to 7.9 percent next year. That prediction was made almost two weeks after the stimulus legislation passed. ...

Town Halls Gone Wild

Alex Isenstadt -- Politico
Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety -- welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress. On the eve of the August recess, members are reporting meetings that have gone terribly awry, marked by angry, sign-carrying mobs and disruptive behavior. In at least one case, a congressman has stopped holding town hall events because the situation has spiraled so far out of control. Targets in most cases are House Democrats, who over the past few months have tackled controversial legislation including a $787 billion economic stimulus package, a landmark energy proposal and an overhaul of the nation's health care system.

Another Obama Birth Certificate Hoax?

by Robert Jay March

In the Certifi-Gate Section below, we link to a story headlined "Obama's Kenyan birth certificate found?" a detailed account of the alleged discovery of Barack Obama's Kenyan Birth Certificate. The certificate supposedly was issued by "The Republic of Kenya" on February 17, 1964. Unfortunately, Kenya did not legally become a Republic until December 12, 1964, when its Constitution, which was adopted on December 12th, 1963 was amended to make it so.

The March Report, which has the largest repository of facts (and rumors) on the situation on our
Certifi-Gate page, is as anxious as anyone to get the truth out, but this may be yet another piece of dis-information that an all-to-willing blogosphere has jumped on prematurely, without proper verification. We present the story below as written for your information, with the caveat that the Kenyan Birth Certificate may simply be another piece of planted "evidence" to make those of us who question whether or not Obama is a Natural Born Citizen of the United States look foolish, and thus undermine our credibility. I suggest we not prove them right.

Trust, but verify, applies to all the evidence: the pieces we like, and the pieces we don't. Dr. Taitz has quite properly filed a motion to authenticate the document. I strongly but respectfully suggest that all the hysterical e-mails (such as as the dozens I have already received) be discontinued until such time as the document has either been verified or disproved.

For those of you who fear that The March Report has "gone wobbly" on this issue, fear not. Our working hypothesis remains that Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen, but we have always left the door open to other possible explanations. All we know for sure thus far is that an actual Birth Certificate has not yet been revealed, and that Obama has spent 7 figures to avoid producing one. If there is nothing to hide, why hide it? Until that question is satisfactorily answered, it will not go away.

Was Obama born outside the United States, or is there something that the revelation of his true birth certificate would reveal that would be so embarrassing that he would stake his Presidency on concealing it? Bill O'Reilly has gone so far as to suggest that Obama has refused to release it out of simple arrogance, an "explanation" that defies credulity due to the expenses incurred thus far in defending that position.

ALL of us -- on both sides of the issue -- must be prepared to analyze all the evidence objectively, without regard for our preconceptions. We must proceed with this investigation soberly, and the true facts will eventually come out, whatever they may be.

Regardless of how this turns out, the fact remains that Barack Obama was the first Black person elected to the Presidency, regardless of whether or not he is legally qualified to occupy it. That accomplishment will remain, even if he should be disqualified and removed from office. And that's fine, because it is more an accomplishment of the American People than Barack Obama.

Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

Alleged Kenyan Obama Birth Certificate Ignites Firestorm Over Authenticity

World Net Daily
A document unveiled by a California attorney in her quest to determine President Obama's place of birth has been condemned as a forgery by critics who deride as nonsense the challenges that have been raised to the president based on the U.S. Constitution's demand that the Oval Office occupant be a "natural born" citizen. But those on the other side, who would like to see the original documentation of Obama's birth place revealed, say there are factors that indicate the Kenyan birth document could be real. ...

The Only Thing Weirder Than The Birthers Are The Anti-Birthers

Mark Joseph -- Huffington Post
The state official in Hawaii who manages such things has reiterated that there is indeed an original birth certificate on file which would confirm President Obama's having been born in Hawaii and that she has seen it, but state law won't allow her to release it unless the president authorizes it. So what's the problem here? Release the original and let's be done with this madness. During the last campaign, John McCain faced similar questions and promptly responded by releasing his original birth certificate. That's how normal people with nothing to hide handle these things. ...

68 to 31 Vote

Paul Kane and Amy Goldstein -- Washington Post
Video AND TEXT. On a 68 to 31 vote, the Senate confirmed Sotomayor, 55, after roughly 18 hours of official debate spread across three days this week, a show of support that included nine Republican 'aye' votes and 59 from the Democratic side of the aisle. All 31 votes against Sotomayor came from Republicans. Sotomayor becomes the third woman to serve on the Supreme Court, following Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. The final hour of debate was overseen by Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), the chamber's most junior member, who was sworn into office just days before Sotomayor's confirmation hearings began July 13 and was assigned the last seat on the Judiciary Committee. ...

Maryland Chamber Of Commerce Says Health Bills Will Kill Jobs

Baltimore Business Journal
The U.S House has created three health care reform bills, while another has come out of the U.S. Senate. All of the proposals would mandate that all individuals receive health insurance or pay a penalty to the U.S. government. The bills also require that all but the smallest employers offer health insurance to their employees -- a proposal that has come under attack from small businesspeople who say they cannot afford to do so. ...

Ark. Crowd Mocks Lawmakers Over Obama Health Plan

Jill Zeman Bleed -- Associated Press
"At this point in my life I have never seen my America turn into what it has turned into," Colleen Shoemaker of Bauxite said. "And I don't think that representatives and senators are going to be able to (pass a plan that preserves personal freedom). I'm scared." Though much of the crowd opposed Obama's plan, there were a few supporters. ...

Associated Press

Clinton Deflects Questions On Mission To N. Korea

Robin Shulman -- Washington Post
Former President Bill Clinton said Thursday that, while negotiating the release this week of two American journalists detained in North Korea, he went no further than previous Obama administration statements in expressing regret for the journalists having entered the country illegally. North Korea pardoned and released the two journalists after Clinton met in Pyongyang on Tuesday with the country's ailing dictator, Kim Jong-Il. North Korea said later that Clinton had apologized; the White House denied that any apology was offered. ...

White House: 'War On Terrorism' Is Over

Jon Ward and Eli Lake -- Washington Times
It's official. The U.S. is no longer engaged in a "war on terrorism." Neither is it fighting "jihadists" or in a "global war." Barack Obama's top homeland security and counterterrorism official took all three terms off the table of acceptable words inside the White House during a speech Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank. The only terminology that John Brennan, head of the White House homeland security office, said the administration is using is that the U.S. is "at war with al Qaeda." ...

Listening to Imus,
I'm in Mourning

by Robert Jay March

As I write this, I'm listening to Don Imus refer to Lou Dobbs as a "grassy knoll nut" because of his interest in the Obama birth certificate controversy.

Herewith, I present an analysis that Mr. Imus should be able to understand, due to his own background.

Let's say that Imus is the AA sponsor of a person who has quit drinking. Making a support visit to the new member's apartment, the member swears that he is still sober, and has discarded his "stash" of alcohol.

Imus, his "b.s. detector" having been activated, asks if he can check all the likely hiding places to make sure there are no bottles there. The member replies, "Sure, check everywhere -- except under the kitchen sink -- there's nothing there -- check everywhere else."

Imus then goes directly to the kitchen sink, and the member races ahead of the old geezer, to prevent him from looking under the sink. "I TOLD you--there's nothing there." To which my imaginary Imus replies: "Then let me check it out, you lyin' weasel; trust but VERIFY." Member: "There's nothing to verify; there's nothing there."

Question: Does the new AA member have a bottle stashed under the sink or not? The answer is obvious. If there is nothing to hide, why hide it?

Barack Obama has only submitted a Hawaiian "Certification of Live Birth" as supposed evidence of his birth there. Even the state of Hawaii will not accept this as evidence of birth in Hawaii. He has spent over $1,000,000 to prevent us from seeing it, using three high-power law firms. Further details on that available in the files cited below.

For those of you who are new to MarchReport.com, I suggest you read yesterday's editorial and listen to the following podcasts to get up to speed:

This one is not a typical podcast; rather, it was a rebuttal of remarks made by Shepard Smith on Fox News; Podcasts of June 2, 2009, and June 5, 2009; Robert Jay March Interviews Dr. Douglas Schell; our 23-minute audio interview with Lisa Liberei , Phil Berg's assistant, about how Phil first got involved with the Certifi-Gate case; and our Phil Berg Interview.

Over and over and over again, I've asked, If there is nothing to hide, why hide it? No satisfactory reply has been forthcoming, and until one has, I'll keep asking.

If there is nothing to hide, why hide it?

We all need to take a look under the kitchen sink.

The e-mail address for "Imus in the Morning" is imusshow@wabcradio.com. Let's all ask him to look under the sink.

Former AIG CEO Sued By SEC

Bloomberg News
Video Former AIG Chief Hank Greenberg to Pay $15 Million to Settle SEC Suit; Greenberg Was Head of AIG for Thirty-Eight Years, Forced Out in 2005. ...

Another Black Eye For American International Group

Nanette Byrnes -- Business Week
The SEC's complaint paints a picture of two executives, former Chief Executive Maurice "Hank" Greenberg and former Chief Financial Officer Howard Smith, creatively focused on managing Wall Street analysts' expectations and the value of AIG's share price. Each maneuver was made to create the impression that the company was consistently meeting or exceeding key earnings and growth targets. Similar charges were filed earlier in the week by the SEC against General Electric, though in that case the alleged infractions were quite different. ...

Rupert Murdoch To Charge To View News Websites By 2010

Guardian (UK)
The era of the free read will shortly be over -- if Rupert Murdoch has anything to do with it. Internet users will soon have to pay for accessing any of his newspapers' content, from the latest snaps of Angelina Jolie to reportage from the Afghan front line or analysis of MPs' expenses. In a daring move intended to clear a cloud of financial gloom hanging over Fleet Street, the uncompromising Australian-born media mogul has lost patience with giving away his expensively produced journalism on the internet for nothing. "We intend to be platform neutral but never free," said Murdoch yesterday, as he set out his plans to dig his News Corporation out of a loss-making hole. "We're certainly satisfied we can produce significant revenues from the sale of digital delivery of newspaper content." ...

Comedy Director John Hughes Dies

BBC News (UK)
The US film director John Hughes, who created some of the most famous comedies of the 1980s and 1990s, has died at the age of 59. Mr Hughes was the director of such successful films as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club and Planes, Trains and Automobiles. ...

John Hughes Biography

Studio System
A prolific writer, director and producer in the 1980s and early 1990s, John Hughes was the guiding force behind some of the most popular teen-oriented comedies of the period, including "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983), "Sixteen Candles" (1984), "The Breakfast Club" (1985) and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986). Though his stock in trade was broad, he had a particular gift for the speech and emotions of middle-class suburban youth, who were portrayed in his films with a complexity and respect rarely afforded to them in major Hollywood features. Hughes' popularity appeared to fall off after the blockbuster holiday hit "Home Alone" (1990), though he remained active as a screenwriter, often under his pen name of Edmond Dantes. His films were frequently cited as a major influence on writers and directors who toiled in the teen movie field. ...

March Report Podcast

News and Opinion Presented with Gales of Derisive Laughter by Robert Jay March

28:01. Recorded
Wednesday, June 10, 2009
TOPIC DISCUSSED:

Shepard Smith of FOX News claimed on Wednesday's "Studio B" that those of us investigating Certifi-Gate, the Obama Birth Certificate Scandal, are morally equivalent to James Von Brunn, the neo-Nazi white supremacist who shot two people at the Holocaust Museum.
     Among his remarks:
"There's been a lot of hate since this President came into Office. He has been a uniting figure in so many ways. He has brought the youth of America together in so many ways. He has been inspirational to so many people. Yet there are a lot of people who have problems with an African American man as the President. People want to talk about, 'was he even an American citizen; where's his birth certificate?" That needs to Stop. It's preposterous ... The level of the hate being ratcheted up in so many different quarters, on so many different web sites, and otherwise for that matter, it sometimes feels like its a very dangerous thing."
The Certifi-Gate page on MarchReport.com is the largest single repository of information on the Obama Birth Certificate Scandal anywhere on the internet. As such, the owner of the site felt a moral obligation to speak out. This podcast is Robert Jay March's response to Shepard Smith's Outrageous allegations of hate and racism against those of us who have the courage to defend our precious Constitution, and the basic journalistic skills to do fact checking: something Mr. Smith apparently does not know how to do. Nine months ago, Robert also was a disbeliever, but felt an obligation to those readers who had written in with alarm to check out the story, in order to assure his half-million subscribers that their fears were unfounded. He was shocked to discover that the stories were true, and reported back accordingly. Thus began Certifi-Gate.
The Certifi-Gate Investigation and associated lawsuits are not about hate, racism, fear, or any other disingenuous motive. It is about defending the Constitution, the very foundation of our Republic.
MarchReport.com issues this challenge to Shepard Smith: PROVE US WRONG. Check the facts ... objectively ... as would be done with any low-level politician, and, when you find the truth (as you will), report it to your viewers, and issue an apology to those of us who did the work first.
