At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

This new section is the equivalent of a newspaper's "Letters to the Editor" Section. Here, we will run and respond to e-mails from those who love us and those who hate us (we don't expect to hear much from those who couldn't care less). The names attributed to the comments were the names provided by the sender. You may use a nom de plume, if you wish to remain anonymous.

First, a few of the nice ones ...

From "NewEnglandPatriot" (nom de plume)

Thank you for your in-depth reporting on 'Certifi-Gate.' Your coverage is thorough and presented from all angles. Your own personal analysis of the current situation is well-researched and therefore factual. After you published your article about the problems you have had from certain minions in Chicago, I posted blogs on various websites urging readers to go to your site. I hope it helps, and I wish you much success in the future. Your website is an excellent source for the daily news.

Response from Robert Jay March.

Thanks very much for your help, and I hope other readers will follow your example.

From "EverPsyPgh" (nom de plume)

Have been receiving your 'March Report ... have followed it fairly regularly, for its info that is seldom available in the liberally-biased MSM, and its apparent attempts at objectivity/reliability. Thus I have found its reports to be worth reading and consideration; which is a compliment in this day and age of liberally-biased pseudo-so-called journalism. Seems it is no longer 'freedom of the press,' but the need for 'freedom from the press,' through publications such as yours. Would appreciate some more open description of your ownership, philosophy, and origins, etc.; which I have, so far, been unable to find in your reports.

Response from Robert Jay March.

The March Report is named after me. After spending more than half a century listening to mispronunciations of my difficult-to-pronounce birth name, I changed it to Robert Jay March, which is an anglicized version of my birth name. In that this is intended to be a news site, I prefer not to talk about myself at all, in that I am not news. When we started, we had no idea that Certifi-Gate was around the corner, and, to the degree that I've discussed myself at all, it was simply to refute false accusations of racism or political bias. As to my philosophy, it is simply this: "Do what's right, no matter what the cost. It always costs. Do what's right anyway." Implicit in that is never lying to anyone about anything, ever.

From Mary, a reader in Virginia:

First of all I would like to thank you for being the press that should be everywhere. Everyday I awake one of the first things I do is go to your site to read the updated news, it is pleasure to see someone that is not afraid to report on Barrack OBama aka Barry like Hannity refuses to do now that the election is over. Continue what you are doing and lets get to the bottom of this Illegal so called Presidet Elect. Our CONSTITUION is in DANGER and we need the word to get out to more people. I commend you for all the truth that you tell. Don't let others bring you down! You all are the best along with www.obamacrimes.com

Response from Robert Jay March.

Thanks very much. The March Report has become, second only to Phil Berg's own obamacrimes.com site, the primary channel for information on the Certifi-Gate scandal. I fancy The March Report as Paul Revere to Phil's George Washington. He leads the effort; I shoot my mouth off.

From Daniel, a March Report Daily Alert Subscriber:

You're such a good journalist and I hope you can write an article, on marchreport.com, how the SOB will qualify to get on the ballot for 2012 election without declaring marshal law. He will be Barry USOB (U surper S oetoro/OB ama), and many knows he is not nbc so the SOS of each state cannot legally put him on the ballot. He will have to dismantle our military first and create his own army, because we have the most powerful military in the world that will go against barry USOB. I am afraid of our withdrawal from Iraq because I think barry USOB will have them march all the way to Afghanistan where they will be so vulnerable to attacks as they are in one group, if you get my meaning.

Response from Robert Jay March.

Given that he already got on the ballot once, and got elected, if the courts do not remove him, only a drastic downturn in his popularity would prevent a second term. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but we're in deep doo-doo here, and the courts seem to be in the tank for him, along with the mainstream media.

From "virginialee" (nom de plume)

I am sure you have heard over and over again that both Justice Roberts and Obama flubbed rather badly on the oath of office. In fact some attorneys say it should be done again, that Obama may not be legally sworn in the way it is. My thought is this: did Justice Roberts intentionally flub on the oath so it would not be legal - because he knows that Obama is not legally qualified to be president? Could he have done this on purpose to stall some time until the Supreme Court deals with it legally through the pending lawsuits? I do hope so. If I am correct, that would be a brilliant move on Justice Roberts' part! Is this possible? P.S.: I appreciate so very much your efforts on behalf of our once great nation! Thank you!

Response from Robert Jay March.

Given that only Justice Scalia had the good sense to excuse himself from Obama's visit to the Supreme Court, and the entire court staff gave Obama an ovation, coupled with the Court's prior rulings, I'm very pessimistic about what the Court will do about his ineligibility. Frankly, it seems as it they're in the tank for him.
A consciousness of guilt by both men could easily explain what happened. So could the desire to insulate oneself against felony charges.

From "NewEnglandPatriot" (nom de plume)

Your cover story entitled 'America in Captivity' is very appropriate. Thank you for doing that, and please continue to do it until the Usurper is out of office. You are not crazy; I have been thinking the same thing about Obama and Biden. There have been too many slips of the tongue for it to be a coincidence. The Democrats knew that Obama was not eligible to run, much less take the office, and they figure if he's removed, they'll have Biden. Biden is older, more experienced, and certainly more qualified than Obama, even though he cannot stop putting his foot in his mouth every time it opens. Obama is just the front man, and he hasn't made these cabinet choices. They were made for him. I find myself wondering, too, what has happened to the Supreme Court, our Constitution, and all the laws on the books. Is this a giant conspiracy even involving the highest court in the land? And this joke of a second swearing-in ceremony is no more legal than the first. They forgot to use a Bible!

Response from Robert Jay March.

Thanks very much for you kind comments; however, there is no Constitutional requirement for the use of a Bible when taking the Oath of Office. The Oath, rendered properly, would be just as valid if done with one's hand on the Koran, The Lotus Sutra, the Bhagavad Gita, or a Zane Grey novel. In order for the Oath to be valid, however, one must have met the eligibility requirements of Article II Section 1, the same Article and Section that contains the mandated oath.

Not everyone loves us, though. "mollybrowne2000" (nom de plume)

Cut the crap, get down on your knees and thank God again and again for Obama, and we need to thank him over and over to see the the back of dumb ass Bush. I am white European and an American and I speak for the whole of the continent of Europe and most of the USA. The excitement is palpable throughout the world.

Response from Robert Jay March.

At most, you speak for 52% of the country, ACORN, and perhaps George Soros. I say "at most" because a recent AOL poll determined that more than 50% of the country believes that the Certifi-Gate issue is worthy of investigation. As for "dumb ass Bush," he kept our country safe and free, so that idiots like you can continue being idiots without wearing a burka, and that so a child raised in the Muslim faith, who grew up to be a Christian adult, would not be forced to pay the penalty the Taliban imposes on any that they consider apostate.
I wish no harm to Mr. Obama. I could even support his right to run for the Presidency again, but only after the passage and ratification of a Constitutional Amendment that nullifies Article II Section 1 of the Constitution. At present, regardless of how wonderful anyone thinks he is, he holds the office illegally.

Some people submitted comments on issues, without specific reference to The March Report

From "beachpoet" (nom de plume)

I'm sure most folks have seen this, but for those who haven't I just want to share how the rest of the world is laughing: An editorial from the London Daily Mail on Obama's Victory Tue, 01/06/2009 - 2:13pm Obama's Victory A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality. A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world.

From "ozdon" (nom de plume)

If there was a requirement of proof, a master forger would produce the "official" birth certificate. Any other result would be riots throughout the country and possibly problems in the military.

From "doccharley" (nom de plume)

My answers to current economic problems consists of two phases: 1: Shut down the government printing presses for at least six months. 2: Return to the gold standard. Our money has no meaningful backing. For the government to continue essentially worthless bills will lead to worse financial collapse and possibly bankrupcy. Many countries that depend upon the dollar will follow our financial collapse.

From an anonymous reader:

This does indeed have merit. Let's pass this around the United States and start immediately! When a company falls on difficult times, one of the things that seems to happen are they reduce their staff and workers. The remaining workers need to find ways to continue to do a good job or risk that their job would be eliminated as well.. Wall street, and the media normally congratulate the CEO for making this type of 'tough decision', and his board of directors gives him a big bonus. I feel our government should not be immune from similar risks. I therefore am recommending the following cuts to be implemented by the next president elect. Reduce the House of Representatives from the current 435 members to 218 members and Senate members from 100 to 50 (one per State). Also reduce remaining staff by 25%. Accomplish this over the next 8 years. (two steps / two elections) and of course this would require some redistricting.

Response from Robert Jay March.

What you propose would require a Constitutional Amendment; it cannot legally be done by fiat; at least, assuming the Constitution still matters.

That's the subtitle to the forthcoming book Welcome to Obamaland by British columnist James Delingpole, who remembers all too well Tony Blair's ascension to power: Most often, and perhaps most predictably, though, you get the 'Awww, how could you?' reaction. This has less to do with anything Obama has ever said or done, than with the general fluffy benevolence people feel towards him. 'But James, this is too awful!' protested one former newspaper editor -- let us call him Trevor -- when I relayed the news [of Delingpole's book]. Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

Part 62 Of Certifi-Gate, Our Special Report On Barack Obama's Legal Eligibility To Serve As President Of The United States

Robert Jay March -- March Report
The view of Marxist-Leninists that they should "smash the state" is alive and well in the current administration, headed by the Usurper-in-Chief and his Democrat (not democratic) co-conspirators.
The ideologues of the Democrat machine have never shown a reluctance to sabotage the economy, thus hurting the very poor and impoverished they claim to represent, in order to further their own goals. When Ronald Reagan cut marginal tax rates, it resulted in a doubling of tax revenues received by the Treasury, yet the Democrats, in violation of an agreement with Reagan, increased spending sufficiently to cause a deficit, which they, as planned, then blamed on Reagan.
Having artificially triggered a melt-down in our economy by forcing banks who knew better into making unwise housing loans to unqualified people who had no hope of repaying, and goosing the problem along with end-of-day short-selling when McCain was pulling ahead of Obama, the expected panic was unleashed, resulting in a voter demand to "throw the rascals out." Whenever such a mood exists, the party of the "rascals" currently in the White House is ejected, and replaced by the other party's "rascals." Thus, Spanky, Stymie and Darla Hood were cast aside, and replaced by Darth Vader, Ra's Al Ghul and Cruella De Vil.

Crisis. Panic. Solution.
The Left frequently manipulates the public by means of the the crisis-panic-solution paradigm. Step One: create a crisis. Publicly call attention to the created crisis by use of the "bully pulpit" and help from lackeys in the media. Step Two: wait for the expected panic to materialize. Fan the flames of said panic until they are white-hot. Step Three: Rush to the rescue. Propose a solution, which apparently deals with the crisis, but is actually a means of imposing the programs and spending that you could not pass fairly, and ram it through the legislature before the panic dies down.
The Democrat Party played the American people like Guitar Hero, again placing the blame for their own pre-planned "crisis" on the very people who warned us that it was coming as long as six years ago, but the tune is wearing thin. You can only play one chord for so long before the audience realizes that you cannot actually play the guitar, and walks out.
Less than a week after the phony inauguration of a faux-President, marred by the flubbed Oath of Office that betrayed the consciousness of guilt by both Obama and Roberts, Obama's media minions have already begun biting at his heels. (Note to Chris Matthews: that tingling in your leg was just an early symptom of sciatica.)
Thousands of us have been crying out "The Emperor has no clothes." Just as in the fairy tale, it's only a matter of time before the larger crowd realizes it, and takes up the cry. When this finally happens, the means to force exposure is available to us, thanks to a tool left to us by George W. Bush.

"W" to the Rescue.
On January 16, 2009, three days before he left office, President Bush signed an Executive Order entitled "Granting Reciprocity on Excepted Service and Federal Contractor Employee Fitness and Reinvestigating Individuals in Positions of Public Trust.' As soon as they got in office, the Obaminons tried to scrub this from the White House web site, but the info was already out there. It appears on pages 4111-4113 of The Federal Register.
We have a PDF of the entire Order below, but here's a taste:

Sec. 5. Reinvestigation of Individuals in Positions of Public Trust. Individuals in positions of public trust shall be subject to reinvestigation ... to ensure their suitability for continued employment.

Hmmm. Now, who exactly in the employ of the Federal Government needs to have their backgrounds re-investigated. Have you heard any outcries for any such reinvestigation of anyone except ... oh, now, who could it be ... OBAMA! (Apologies to Dana Carvey's Church Lady.)
Dr. Orly Taitz has picked up the ball and is running with it. She has served U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the FBI Chicago office with a subpoena to produce "any and all records in regards to level of character and conduct necessary pertaining to Barack H. Obama, a/k/a Barry H. Obama, II a/k/a Barry Obama, a/k/a Barry Soetoro. These documents have direct relation to holding a Position of Public Trust."
Now, don't get too excited yet. The success of such a petition requires that a court actually enforce the law. We haven't seen much of that lately. Yet, somehow, it is comforting to know that, as George W. Bush conducted himself as a consummate gentleman and a polished executive on his way out, he left us with this means of salvaging our form of Government.
Paraphrasing what the former President said, standing on the rubble of the World Trade Center in 2001, he heard us, and the people who shredded the Constitution are gonna hear from all of us soon.
     Thanks, Dubya.

Rush Limbaugh Is Only The First Target Of Obama's 'New' Politics

Paul Ibrahim -- North Star Writers Group
Barack Obama, Democratic leaders and the media have made clear their rejection of George W. Bush's "old" politics. You see, President Bush did not launch assaults on private citizens, nor did he ever label anyone as "unpatriotic" for disagreeing with him. Thus, Obama and his friends are now effecting the change they promised. Welcome to their "new" politics ...

Seven Reasons To Be Skeptical Of Obama's Economic Plans

Edward Harrison -- Roubini Global Economics

Nationalizing Banks Won't Fix Money Problems

Megan Lynch -- dailycampus.com
President Obama seems to have survived his first week in office with little trouble, but it doesn't seem like this good fortune will continue, at least not with the Republicans or me. With the obvious economic troubles looming before him, the nation is waiting for their answers and billions promised in stimulus checks. However, Obama's cure for Wall Street's scars may not turn out to be as great as expected. I don't think many Americans planned to welcome socialism alongside the first black president ...

Iron Man (Ultimate Two-Disc Edition + BD Live) [Blu-Ray]

Reviewed by Robert Horton

You know you're going to get a different kind of superhero when you cast Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role. And Iron Man is different, in welcome ways. Cleverly updated from Marvel Comics' longstanding series, Iron Man puts billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (that's Downey) in the path of some Middle Eastern terrorists; in a brilliantly paced section, Stark invents an indestructible suit that allows him to escape. If the rest of the movie never quit hits that precise rhythm again, it nevertheless offers plenty of pleasure, as the renewed Stark swears off his past as a weapons manufacturer, develops his new Iron Man suit, and puzzles both his business partner (Jeff Bridges in great form) and executive assistant (Gwyneth Paltrow). Director Jon Favreau geeks out in fun ways with the hardware, but never lets it overpower the movie, and there's always a goofy one-liner or a slapstick pratfall around to break the tension. As for Downey, he doesn't get to jitterbug around too much in his improv way, but he brings enough of his unpredictable personality to keep the thing fresh ...

The Rape Of Europa

Actual Films in association with Agon Arts & Entertainment/Oregon Public Broadcasting

When The Rape of Europa was released theatrically last year, this is how Variety reviewed it, in Variety-speak:
Bringing a radically new perspective to World War II and the Holocaust, this fast-paced docu, based on Lynn Nicholas' bestseller about the fate of European art both under the Nazis and afterward, casts the Third Reich in a wholly different light. Curiously, by narrowing focus, filmmakers widen the absurdity and horror of a war waged, at least in part, for a mon-strously inflated private agenda. This mesmerizing morality play, rich in rare archival footage and complete with heroic Allied saviors, merits a full-fledged arthouse run before reaching larger PBS and cable auds ...

The Stendhal Syndrome

DVD Review

Dario Argento has been one of the celebrated masters of Italian horror cinema since the 1970s, but his directorial output since the late 1980s has been largely disappointing to fans of gialli, a horror sub-genre of lurid, graphically violent murder mysteries drawn from pulp fiction. It seems that he has never quite been able to measure up to the frenzied terror or outrageous shocks of his early masterpieces like "Deep Red" and "Suspiria." While it is true that his films from the last two decades have left much to be desired in terms of style, terror, and interest, his 1996 thriller The Stendhal Syndrome deserves more recognition than it receives. A stylistic and psychological departure for Argento, it is perhaps among the most sophisticated movies he has ever directed ...
